Yip and they are beta testing Nutscape on compuserve, looks like they might just might boot IE...

After all they did pay 7 BILLION or so for Nutscape way not use it...

So maybe a few of you should be looking at downloading Nutscape... or maybe you don't care about the 30 to 40 million user's they have.

Wonder what Microsoft thinks about this..

Nothing is wrong with Netscape. I use Netscape 6 and Netscape 4 all the time. They're great browsers.

If you haven't tried netscape 6, try it.. it is substancially better.

NS4 is total garbage, and can't even interpret the HTML elements that it introduced according to Netscape's specs.

AOL Software does nothing but fuck up your computer

Scootermuze 03-31-2002 04:50 PM

I have window washer 4.1 .. pretty nice proggy, but I didn't get it from aol or through aol.
I have nothing to do with aol because of their ridiculous constant advertising.. even to paying members, their idiot salespeople that can't take 'no' for an answer.. but I do like their cd's that are included in everything you buy anymore.. they make great coasters.. :)

I use IE 6, Netscape 6.x and Netscape 4.7x and
perfer Netscape 4.7x...

As to speed there is no fucking way IE is faster than Netscape 4.7x...I use'm both every day and
if you think IE is faster you've smoked and are smokeing some bad stuff..

Before you say 1 is faster than another try using both of them... because if you had you would know....:2 cents:

Yeah I have Window Washer 4.0, its a sweet program, does everything all the others do and its a hell of alot cheaper, its by Webroot, not AOL, unless AOL just bought out another company...

If aol switches to netscape there will be ALOT of fucked up sites out there... Netscape is very picky about html one false move and the page is fucked..

GreenKaRd 03-31-2002 09:32 PM

I hate Netscape as a web designer, older versions can't even do what even older versions of IE seem to do. I'll admit Netscape 6 has come along way from v4, but I'll never use it for personal browsing. Netscape has just been slow to implement better features... :2 cents:

tekart 04-01-2002 01:32 AM

I'm on cable here where I live and I always find Netscape loading faster then IE!

If MS IE 5.x would allow a more user friendly way of organizing 'favorites', I'd probably use it more, if not all the time!
(I just have to many bookmarks to want to sit there and put them into any type of easy to read order)

I've always found it to be true that folks stick w/what works for them...I mean..if it ain't broke...don't fix it right?

I've only briefly used Netscape 6.x when it first came out and didn't spend too much time using it so I can't say if it sucks or not but there were a few features I did and didn't like...that I do remember! :)

Haven't bothered about upgrading my MSIE 5.x again and going up to MS IE 6...as I have no inclination to deal w/it right now

boneprone 04-01-2002 03:51 AM

didnt know aol owned icq

SykkBoy 04-01-2002 04:08 AM

I prefer Netscape Mail and Netscape 4.76...will have tio upgrade to 6.2 though I guess as more and more are using style sheets that don't show up in NS 4.76 but I gotta tell you, I love not getting my home page jacked with and nothing strange popping up in my bookmarks and best of all, no email worms using netscape mail...but, I've made this post time and again :)

I also prefer Netscape's bookmarks over the IE's favorites, I hate that frame shit....

when I firt d/l's NS 6, ot weas slow as fuckall, buit have heard 6.2 is much more improved...

IE 6 seems slow for me when first launching...

I wonder if, when AOL does change over to NS, if these sponsors that can't pop a working console in NS will finally figure it out ;)))
