Merry christmas...or Happy Holidays...do you really care?
 

it seems to be a big focus...and im starting to get emails and cards that say Happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas


anyone really care?

I miss hearing and seeing "Merry Christmas", but not because of some backlash. Just because thats what I remember as a child and it seems gone and thats sad to me.

I think it's gotten just a little bit out of hand.. what's next? They gonna remix the "Merry Christmas" song?

I don't care if they say "Happy Holidays". It's pretty silly when people get upset when someone says "Merry Christmas".

As a Jew, I am not offended one bit by Merry Christmas or anything related to it. I have to agree that political correctness around this is getting way out of hand. Christmas or Hanukkah, it is about the holiday spirit of giving and sharing. When someone wishes me a Merry Christmas, I feel that is what they are referring to and I wish them one back. :2 cents:

As someone in an immigrant country, I am getting frustrated that we have to change OUR national holiday greeting to appease the newcomers.

It's been happy holidays for years in Canada. Too bad really.

I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. With that being said it is called Christmas in this country. But everyone has a right to say what they feel comfortable. I don't think one side should put people down for saying Merry Christmas or the other side should get pissed for people saying Happy Holidays. I am an atheist and I love Christmas time. I look at it as an American Holiday CALLED CHRISTMAS. Who the fuck cares if someone wants to be religious about the Holiday? I am so sick of the socialist utopians around this country who think the minority should be catered too. It's fucking Christmas time that is the name of OUR Holiday........enjoy. Quit the hate because you are the only idiot that has to carry around the hate and then you spread it to others. If you don't like pushy in your face Christians then don't act like one yourself.
