The price you're asking is low for quality work, but here's a bump for good luck.

chadglni 12-14-2005 09:28 AM

$1? You can't get someone to turn on their computer for $1.

CIVMatt 12-14-2005 09:33 AM

Hell I want $3 for just posting in your thread

Very hard to see why anybody would be in the pay-per-post business. If you can write good blog posts, why not blog on your own account and keep all of the money, instead of a work-for-hire pittance?

It's not like there are huge barriers to entry, capital requirements, or technical difficulties to overcome. Anybody who can write blog posts worth a damn can run a whole blog for zero extra effort.

I don't get the economics of this from the post-writer's side, no matter what the price is.

I run three blogs of my own and do entries for a few different people. For me, when I get paid to do an entry, I make sure to get it done. However, when it's just my own project, I get a little lazy. It would be easier to keep up 10 blogs for other people than 10 of my own. I really can't explain why my mind works like this and I'm surely not happy about it, but it's the truth.

Thanks, Juicy.

If anyone needs mainstream blog entries, we do 33,000 words for $450
