The former boyfriend almost got me a vacuum for my birthday once. He claimed it was to make me happier, because I didn't like vacuuming with our current one. Then the friends I was with told him to get me the skirt I just finished telling him I wanted or else. ;)

I was working in an office, and everyone was asking me what I was getting my wife that year. I told them that the major gift would be a quisenart. The damn thing was like 400$, and the all told me no, no, she will be so pissed off.

You know what. She freaking loved it, and still uses it.
