Juicy D. Links 12-13-2005 08:35 AM

Yeah but havent gone since i got my new tattos , waiting for em to heal first

Raven 12-13-2005 08:35 AM

I'm a redhead. I tried it before Florida Internext...cost me three hundred dollars to do the bronze only one and all I got was a light coating....

I'll stay pale.

Tricksy 12-13-2005 08:41 AM

It's fucking cold outside. I'd better stay at home.

CherryLipsRosa 12-13-2005 08:50 AM

I use to back in Montreal but now i rarely go

Tera 12-13-2005 08:50 AM

Before summertime I do it to get a good base going. Every once in awhile during winter I'll do it if I start to look dead.

Honez 12-13-2005 09:04 AM

When I was younger, I always had a membership to a tanning salon and I would go once or twice a week. Be careful ladies. What you do to your skin when you are younger will show up as you 'mature'. Trust me.

phogirl69 12-13-2005 09:18 AM

No, I don't because I heard it's worse for your skin than going in the sun, tanning beds really can cause aging, wrinkles, and lead to an increase in the chance of getting cancer.

I only use self-tanner and lots and lots of MAC bronzer to bronze me up so I don't look deathly pale. I'm pretty pale, but I have never been to a tanning bed ever, it makes your skin look like rubber when you get older.

I am phobic about the sun, i wont even go outside with SPF 15 on, I guess its worked because someone jokingly (or not) said that I look like I'm 12 when I actually almost 30.... but i can pass for 16 because i have NO aging due to sun exposure...

I also like to use liquid bronzer on my body/legs sometimes too...

WebairGerard 12-13-2005 09:19 AM

never happen. that shit is nasty for you and looks nasty too.

flirty 12-13-2005 10:04 AM

im naturally tanned, i have never tried a tanning salon ever. i want a whiter skin though :)

Just put a bit of vaseline on your tattoos before you tan! :winkwink: (I'm sure you have some...lol)

Screaming 12-13-2005 10:36 AM

have been a few times but it never really stuck with me

Doctor Dre 12-13-2005 10:41 AM

I go once in a while ... like once every 2 weeks . Just gives me a little tan. I already have a dark skin for somebody comming from an almost 100 % european souche.

Elli 12-13-2005 11:40 AM

Tried before a trip to Hawaii, to stave off the burn. I had to do 2 minutes a day every other day for a week, and I still ended up cOVERED in freckles and with a light burn everywhere. No tanning for me.

I'm the same way. Not by choice, simply because I'm a webmaster.

IWantU_Jeff 12-13-2005 01:57 PM

thought about it, just cuz you see some people in the winter & they just look so sickly... I love regular tanning (how can you not love just lieing there under the warm sun.. never been though do you "feel" the heat? or do you just lie there.. my friend went too long once & man did he get burned looked way worse than just a normal sun burn...

pawsregd 12-13-2005 02:25 PM

I go once a week too. It helps with those winter blahs

TheJimmy 12-13-2005 02:27 PM

When I was in Germany for a year, hell yes I did.

Other than that, no...Cali, FL and AZ have had plenty of natural sun for me...

:thumbsup

WonderWoman 12-13-2005 02:28 PM

Stallion 12-13-2005 02:30 PM

Maxy 12-13-2005 02:33 PM

Why do people do this in middle of the summer?

sfera 12-13-2005 02:34 PM

amandaspost 12-13-2005 03:29 PM

Ive never been. I tried the mystic spray tanning booth once, came out orange, and will never try again lol.

Gnat69 12-13-2005 03:31 PM

I am lightly toasted so I don't need to anytime of the year....LOL

Marshal 12-13-2005 03:53 PM

this is insane! :D

LaurieX 12-13-2005 04:19 PM

I go to the tanning salon. The sad part of it though is that I live 1 mile from the beach. LOL

BigCashCrew 12-13-2005 04:22 PM

I go sometimes. I used to have one in my building so I'd go quite a bit. You know, there is nothing more silly than being orange in the middle of winter. lol

ready lube 12-13-2005 04:25 PM

Never gone and never will, It's not good for you at all and that's been proven since the late 80's if not earlier. No thanks.

I like to go from time to time.. You gunna be in Vegas??

Perhaps we can share a booth??

My treat!

chaze 12-13-2005 04:28 PM

Almost all celebrities and models tan.

Stop being so paranoid and get a little color. Just don't over do it and use the lotion ti will speed up the process and protect your skin more.

Have you ever seen somebody so white that they appear translucent?

Nydahl 12-13-2005 05:32 PM

this will bring you cancer nothing more.
I am happy to be "green" even in the middle of summer - even natural sun is no good for your skin these days

me too, although maybe someday I would give tanning some consideration.

Orgasmics 12-13-2005 05:50 PM

I've never been to a tanning bed and have no intentions of ever doing so. I stay pale year round and I like it that way.

reynold 12-13-2005 06:19 PM

She looks toasted... :(

And celebrities and models only do what's healthy and good for a person. So I should do what they do.

If you use self-tanning lotion it is 100% safe, you can be tan but don't have to go in the sun and don't have to use tanning beds.

The only drawback is that it fades fast, so you always have to maintain it, by exfoliating and applying a new layer all the time... but i enjoy doing it tho...
self -tanner and bronzer will give you Paris Hilton's faux tan anyday.

Actually I read that J-lo ONLY uses self-tanner... that and bronzer plus a great makeup artist does the trick... no need for silly tanning beds...

I'd rather be tan and wrinkle free then tan with rubber skin.
It's not hard to use self-tanning lotion, just common sense.

reed_4 12-14-2005 02:32 AM

Nope, I haven't tried it.

Ace_luffy 12-14-2005 02:48 AM

not yet................. :)

KRL 12-14-2005 03:14 AM

Used to in my 20's. Its really bad for your skin and a leading cause of skin cancer as you get older.

Vitasoy 12-14-2005 03:22 AM

Once every bluemoon I guess. I'm pretty pale needless to say.

MrLeone 12-14-2005 03:24 AM

Nope I dont go there!
I was diagnosed skin canser last year and had to do som surgery because of it!

reynold 12-14-2005 04:59 AM

I already have a darker complexion so I guess I don't need it.

Linkster 12-14-2005 05:18 AM

Do it all the time - and for those that got wrinkles - obviously someone didnt tell you how to tan - doesnt matter if you do it in the sun or in a tanning bed.
You have to use a moisturizer constantly (this even applies to laying on the beach) and when I mean constantly - at least 5 times a day.

cancer??? no bigger risk than going out in the sun and a tanning bed (if its run correctly) is actually safer as you are limited to times that "should" prevent burning (if you go to a tanning salon and get burned - find another one-they dont know what they are doing.

For those that tried the mystics - yeah its gonna turn you orange because of the chemical they use - find a place that can do airbrush tanning and again - someone who sounds like they know what they are doing - it will come out fantastic (if they dont tell you it takes two applications two days in a row they dont know what they are doing)

now the good side (benefits) of tanning besides the color - new research shows that since we get most of our vitamin D from the sun (and all of these doctors are recommending everyone stay out of the sun) Vit D deficiencies are showing up in huge amounts - which also has shown an increase in bone deficiencies in older women especially (osteoporosis) since people started avoiding the sun. Makes sense kinda - doctors get more older patients to treat if they recommend avoiding the sun - and a huge percentage compared to the amount of skin cancers.
Skin cancer studies were conducted by the EPA to determine the effects of tanning - by using the data from teenagers in the 1960s that used to bake themselves under bare tanning bulbs that you could buy for your house - and yeah there was a huge increase - right along with all the teen girls that used to rub baby oil on themselves and lay out for hours on the beach - just not healthy no matter how you look at it. But unfortunately they fail to mention that the new tanning beds dont have that problem as they filter out most of the harmful parts of the UV and Id be willing to bet if that same study is done again in 20 years, there will be a huge decrease in skin cancer to the teen girls that are tanning nowadays.

ilbb 12-14-2005 05:47 AM

not yet...and I hope I will never be so crazy :)
