Phoenix 12-13-2005 08:15 AM

nope not at all...just adds confusion and peopel get in your way

make sure you include a tps cover sheet...fuck

IWantU_Jeff 12-13-2005 08:21 AM

depends what you mean by 'proper office' there are some offices that take it too far & others not far enough....

Manowar 12-13-2005 08:41 AM

Yeah, for sure

Sosa 12-13-2005 08:41 AM

For me it does because less distractions.

spunky99 12-13-2005 08:48 AM

i work from home but i make sure that my computers are in a seperate room from everything else.. its the only room i spend time in..

CherryLipsRosa 12-13-2005 08:53 AM

I think it does because interaction is really necessary but again it all depends on the type of work you are doing.

Gnat69 12-13-2005 08:56 AM

I personally prefer having an office to go to, when at home too many things to take you away from your work, plus it would feel like I never get out of the house

sickkittens 12-13-2005 08:57 AM

Not sure about an actually "office" office but a room at your place just for work helps, obviously. I've seen people w/ their computers out in the open or in living rooms - could never do that.

Denis_SC 12-13-2005 09:05 AM

Definitely it does ! :thumbsup

KingK7 12-13-2005 09:05 AM

I need an office, or I will just sit around and jerk off all day.

gornyhuy 12-13-2005 09:06 AM

Depends on the corporate culture or the people in the office space... I am SOOOO Much more efficient when I work from my home office.

Just too much crap and distraction in the work environment.

jawanda 12-13-2005 09:08 AM

I hope it will help, will be acquiring some office space outside the house next month.

nico-t 12-13-2005 09:11 AM

id love to try it one day with my adult stuff to hire a small office space, see how that goes.. because sometimes im very lazy when working at home..

Mickey_ 12-13-2005 10:30 AM

My experience is that it boosts productivity AND creativity...Julius took some pics of our offices for FUBAR during his last visit to Budapest.

WiredGuy 12-13-2005 01:14 PM

For me yes.
It depends on you though, some people work better at home, some at the office.

Mr.Ocean 12-13-2005 01:18 PM

Depends, And Damm Skippy if you own the office. But yeah people do work a bit harder but can get in your way

Thurbs 12-13-2005 01:20 PM

depends. I'll work for months from the SC office, if I'm at the office, I just more on the ball because I don't need to hear about what needs to be done over email / icq, I get the full story in real time.

but I also talk to alot of the guys, and when I'm working from home, I don't see anyone, so I have fewer distractions in that regard.

Tipsy 12-13-2005 01:34 PM

It depends on your personal work ethic and particular working envoironment. In days past, when employed rather than working for myself, I've wasted huge chunks of a day in offices doing everything but working.

I now work from myself, usually at home for convenience, and work MUCH harder than I've ever done in any office. But then this is a large part simply because I am working for myself. Even so I keep distractions to an absolute min. which helps.

KRL 12-13-2005 01:44 PM

No way. I did a regular office in 2004 again since I hadn't done it in a while. Pain in the ass and the same bs all over again with people coming in and out of your ofice all day long, wanting to go to lunch, grab a coffee, listen to their personal problems, etc. You can't focus nor get all your work done as well with all the interruptions continously.

I much prefer running businesses by remote control management and just calling in and popping in to see how things are going.

Working in a home office is far more productive as long as you stay disciplined.

calibra 12-13-2005 01:54 PM

It does. If nothing disturbs and distracts you then you fully concentrate on your work. If your place is well designed and equiped and you don't have to fix your fuckin' printer (monitor, mouse, keypad, fan, phone, etc) every 10 minutes you're gonna do a good job (if you are not a dumb fuck :) )

reynold 12-13-2005 07:20 PM

My room is conducive enough for working so I guess it won't matter at all..

There's no place like your jerking room dude--always remember that.. :thumbsup

smack 12-14-2005 01:50 AM

if i could have a dedicated office somewhere other than my home, i think it would increase my productivity alot.

far less distractions, and it is always easier for me to get into a working mindset when my surroundings reflect that.

not that i don't have everything i need at home. but with my xbox, my books, and all my guitars within in easy reash, it is all too easy to digress from work.

studiocritic 12-14-2005 01:53 AM

there's no right answer to this question.. totally depends on personality and the kind of work you're doing, and what the office setup is like. my office has a better tv than my home office. :thumbsup

bdld 12-14-2005 02:17 AM

well, at home you can work all day off and on, at an office you might only be able to handle 8 hrs worth of work since you'll have less breaks.

Ace_luffy 12-14-2005 02:37 AM

yup dude it less distructions to your work................ :thumbsup

Vitasoy 12-14-2005 03:18 AM

I'd say yes, less destrations like many others has pointed out

reynold 12-14-2005 05:09 AM

having an office has somewhat effect in the productivity of a work because if you are in your house chances are you would get distracted by some house chores and some housemates. To some people, they would put up a special room that would serve as their office inside their house.

GigoloJustin 12-14-2005 06:21 AM

Depends on the person, but for the most part yes.

thebossxxx 01-20-2006 01:58 AM

definately the office insures everyone is motivasted if their is a strong chief! :1orglaugh

so, when are you going to get that office? :winkwink:

Murderous 01-20-2006 02:03 AM

I know that just cleaning up my desk and work area every 6 months or so and rearranging thinge every so often... maybe occasionally scrape the boogars from underneath and throw out the empty beer bottles, helps me get things done and shit.

I love a clean workspace, I try to keep it that way.

ServerGenius 01-20-2006 02:39 AM

Yup it certainly does, I just got a brandnew dedicated office inside a big
datacenter in Amsterdam. :thumbsup
