tried to merge partitions and got fucked up

now all my data from the merged partition are lost...damn it...is there anything that i can do to get them back???

did it format it or just overwrite them?

I used partition magic to merge them and to copy the data from the old partition to the new (merged) one

It's weird cuz I never had problems with Partition Magic. Try to use Handy Recovery http://www.softlogica.com.
