How come we dont get ANY tax related forms from billing processors?
I guess I just dont get it. Why would they require us to submit our social security numbers? Unless they file something related to each and every individual, they dont need the number. And if they DO file something, then we should be getting some sort of paperwork.
Whats the deal here? |
i was wondering the same...

You have to make more than 600$ and then you will get a 1099.

i get a 1099 from a few, then a few I don't
my accountant told me that NO MATTER if they send you the 1099 or not, you should always assume they are filing for you...that is why it is extremely important to keep up with every penny you make, or hire an accountant to do it for you |

What do you mean from a few and a few you dont? you have 6 processors? Im not talking about affilate programs like Nasty Dollars, they send 1099's. Im talking about CCBILL. |
My accountant tells me that as long as what you post to your cash receipts ledger is more than the total on your 1099's ...no worries.
|
That doesnt make sense. Anyone from CCBILL care to answer a simple question? Why do we not get 1099's, ever?

I'm assuming you mean affiliate programs powered by CC processors in which case, from my understanding, the relationship is between you and the affiliate program, not you and the processor. It would be like your bank providing you 1099 forms. The liability is on the sponsors to provide them.
