MIAMI VICE...The Movie (Jamie Foxx, Colin Farrell) - Trailer

Didn't want to turn GFY into RottenTomatoes.com

but...

I know alot of people will be interested in seeing this. It's too bad its based in present day...I'm big on 80's nostalgia and must have watched about 50 episodes of Miami Vice over the weekend. I understand that movie might have turned into a pun of itself if they did the whole now cheesy 80's thing.

The trailer is in Flash 8. The only place it is available is on Bacadi Live

"director of 'collateral' and 'heat'"

^^ that says enough for me, i love both flicks. I agree about that its too bad its not being played in the 80's, but i bet this movie will be very nice.

Michael Mann was also responsible for the TV series.

This movie will not let us down.

looks fuckin great. If you watch old Miami vice shows doesn't have te feeling it did when it was the 80's. But this looks good for sure. Love Michael Manns direction. Can't wait!!

reynold 12-12-2005 06:28 PM

I hope this won't be like another SWAT film...

Marshal 12-12-2005 08:15 PM

i really like the series...

wedouglas 12-12-2005 08:31 PM

I hate how sites have enter your age things... I guess I cant look because im only 20 and we all know there is no way to get around it.

Niko Bimini 12-12-2005 08:31 PM

Ok so I had the white suit, the loafers with no socks, and the muscle tees for underneath! Grew up in South FLA while that show was THE SHIT so I went for it hook line and sinker!

And I am VERY happy to see one of the creators and directors of the original TV show Michael Mann is doing the movie......................................

But JESUS CHRIST what were they thinking with the casting?????

Collin fucking Farrel as Sonny Crocket????????

And I like Jamie Fox but NOT as Rico Tubbs for gods sake!

Oh man this could be depressing to watch. :(

wedouglas 12-12-2005 08:33 PM

Director of Heat. This should be great. Heat is an amazing film.

gornyhuy 12-12-2005 08:33 PM

Nah, I think the trailer gives a smooth feel that is upbeat and works well with the blue and red lights.

diggy 12-12-2005 09:04 PM

Hmm.. trailer looks absolutely nothing like the show, and they could have at least used a mixed version of the theme music or something? It's too dark as well.. I have a feeling it's going to be another swat.

reed_4 12-12-2005 10:33 PM

based from the trailer, I guess this movie is very different from the original show.
