I'm in Toronto, no end in sight to the strike far as i can tell :( I need to get my learner's permit, I can't do it either.

Learners? Bah! Do what I do. Don't bother with a license. If you get pulled over, wait until the cop is right outside your window, then gun it. IF your a good driver, you might just get away (in Canada, the police only chase someone if the speeds aren't to high). If you're in the states, FORGET what I just said, cause the police will chase you, and help you kill 55 people in the process :D

you can get your licence at 16, but the new rules is that you have to go back after a few years to take it again. not too sure? like stages and shit.

wannabeapornstar 03-30-2002 09:23 PM

you get G1(educational license) @16 and after 8mnth you can get G2-it allow you to drive on your own....and then after 2years if you want to make your insurance a bit lower you can get G

Don't try this in Ontario anymore. They changed the laws about 1-2 years ago. I believe it's mandatory jail time if they catch you, which they will unless your already doing 200kph+ and know how to drive and get lucky, plus if someone is seriously injured/killed during the pursuit your doing life in prison.

TopTGP - police have a little computer they can input a license number and it tells them if the car is stolen and perhaps any criminal record that the owner may have. If you pull away from the police when he's at your door, there is a good chance your license plate # was already recorded and your screwed.

My Aunt lives in Toronto and shes about 46. Has no car because parking it is very expensive. She lives a 5 minute walk from the subway and tons of stores etc...
You don't need to drive in Toronto.

Last year there was a bus strike in Vancouver that lasted many months.
I can't remember exactly but I think 5-6.
Is that happening in Ontario?
