Been thinking about it... my reciever is sirius ready

KRL 12-12-2005 08:23 AM

I have it already. It's fantastic. Once you get hooked on Satellite Radio you'll never go back to broadcast. Its so great having so many choices while your driving.

The Sportser Replay model is really cool because you can save songs you like.

I have been thinking about it just for the sports casts they do so well. Or so I hear at least.

I've had Sirius forever. It's superior to XM.

Get the S50 reciever. It's a bit pricey but it's a slick looking unit.

YES! Buy a Sirius, and some for your friends...

Got to make sure they have good 4th quarter sales. I love me SIRI stock....

I got Sirus over a year ago.

I have no monthly charges 4-LIFE..

Just had to pay a 1 time fee of 300.00 and now I have it 4-LIFE with no monthly fees EVER!!

Worked out to a good deal.

I mainly just use it in the Navigator. I never really take it out of my car.

KRL 12-12-2005 08:30 AM

I also heard Sirius is going to have video streams from the major cable TV channels sent by satellite sometime in the next year. That'll be really cool too.

Send me a fleshlight and I'll let you push my buttons... keke

Yeah get the sportster, freekin GREAT radio, great service too, I never realized how much XM sucks ass until I cancelled and started up with sirius.

I got the S50. It is a bit buggy; freezes, locks out channels, loses settings, etc.

The Home/Office cradle kit starts shipping today. Even with its problems, it's a nice radio. Works great in the car.

I have XM... What is better about Sirius? I don't really care about Stern. Haven't listened to him since 1998 or so.

Kassidy 12-12-2005 11:18 AM

This is what Santa is bringing my husband for Christmas :winkwink:

Glad to know Im getting something he'll like :)

JUSTB 12-12-2005 11:32 AM

I already have XM and am really happy with it so i doubt I'll switch

Babagirls 12-12-2005 11:32 AM

its on my list of stuff this buy soon :thumbsup

I've had it for over a year, and will never be without it. Once you have it for a month , broadcast radio just doesn't cut it.

Reminds me of when the family got Cable TV when I was a kid. I can't imagine going back to broadcast on purpose.

xuron 12-12-2005 11:53 AM

yeah I have XM for several years now, stern is cool I guess, but whats really the difference?

That lifetime fee only applies to that unit, should the unit die you need to pay the new fee. That's why I pay monthly. I figured recievers will get better and I'll want to upgrade.

Who thinks stern is going to crash and burn?

I have the Starmate replay and love it. The memo feature is so badass.. just tell it you like a certain artist and it beeps whenever that artist is playing on another channel.

I'm also really glad I didn't jump on the S50. There seems to be a lot of music that the thing is blocked from recording, and you don't know it until you go to play it back and there's just beeps and dead air.

and if you have XM, check sirius.com for their channle lineup. The music is pretty comparable but Sirius blows XM away in the sports department.

:1orglaugh What would be the gauge. He's already signed the 500 million dollar deal. Thousands of new subscribers. He's already started original programming that is fucking hilarious like Crack Whore Confession the other night, and of course, Tissue Time :thumbsup

not many who already like him, and not Sirius, he has been worth every penny.
the current programing on his stations is very funny.

gornyhuy 12-12-2005 12:16 PM

I didn't say I thought he would... just wondered what the general thought is.
To crash and burn is to not provide an ROI on the $500M investment. Therefore he has to generate some SIRIUS fucking business for them before he even breaks even.

Herb Kornfield 12-12-2005 12:19 PM

Stern will make Sirius the place to be....

Altho... Im waiting for a universal receiver to come out for Sat signals...everyone and their mother will offer services once Stern takes off......

cosis 12-12-2005 12:28 PM

i have XM and love it

CamRabbit 12-12-2005 12:33 PM

Got mine already.

Loving it.

It costs $15 bucks if you want to activate another receiver. You'll easily save that over time with a lifetime subscription.
