WTF Is Up With Compatibility Nowadays?
 

Sheesh!

You buy hardware and one company is no longer compatible with this or that company.

WTF?

Is SONY at war with Microsoft? Is Toshiba at war with SONY?

I expect any day now a news broadcast that goes to 'Monster Island' where you'll find Godzilla fighting Ghidorah over Windows XP and SONY's handicams!

Anyone else getting compatibility problems with big companies? Sure I fixed the problem, but when it happens it's soooo frustrating.

they are indeed in a tight business competition.

I havent had much of a problem with hardware conflicts recently. I tried out a BFG video card about 6 months back and it was raping and pillaging my IRQ ports which fucked up anything USB, but other than that everything else has played nicely.

The big battle to watch is the blueray level stuff and whether the new holodisc technology is going to end up bypassing that whole format.
