what gets your lazy ass to join a Program and give it a shot?????????????

Articals you read in a mag, Resource sites, chat boards, word of mouth.

What gets you to finally give a program a shot? actually send a good amount of traffic

J$tyle$ 12-12-2005 01:02 AM

I only do business with programs that buy content from me

SEE SIG

:winkwink:

BV 12-12-2005 01:03 AM

This is where Content is King.

Nookster 12-12-2005 01:12 AM

type of content, fhg's, free hosted banners!, word of mouth, also depends what i'm working on at the time. Lots of variables to consider for this one.

D-Money 12-12-2005 01:14 AM

A return email would do it.

Roger, get back with me, I've got some joins for you.

datatank 12-12-2005 01:14 AM

I only send traffic ( 45 hits a day ) to guys who have me in their top 8 on myspace

Tempest 12-12-2005 01:16 AM

A. they have to have sites in the niches I promote.
B. I have to think the site has a chance of selling well and so the tours need to be good.
C. I have to have the time to actually integrate them into my stuff.

But then again, if a sponsor has a ton of "good" FHGs, I could always signup and just list a bunch of them as filler. But that's not the "big" sales/money.

I will hit you up tomorrow hope all is well with the D$ family

I give a program a shot when it looks worth trying out. Very few programs are worth switching traffic for. If something is working, why would I switch it? Its the affiliate programs job to make me want to switch it, very few can.

I try everyone out then I weed it down to who makes me the most.. or who send me traffic back

but I do have to know the people behind the program first either over the phone or from a show etc

3. payout methodes

Young 12-12-2005 09:34 AM

Exclusive content usually.....I don't mind giving a program that does otherwise a shot though.

Roger, I'll tell you who 'datatank' is for 46 more clicks per day

bigdog 12-12-2005 09:47 AM

a bonus payout day usally works for me

CherryLipsRosa 12-12-2005 09:55 AM

usually word of mouth and then performance

jayeff 12-12-2005 09:56 AM

Like Sly, I don't see any point in switching traffic just for the sake of it: I have been doing this long enough to have a solid selection of sponsors.

I'm not likely even to look at a program which appears to be trawling mainly for newbies or which has lots of cookie cutter sites. If a program has a definite focus I will take a look, and if I like it and it offers something different, I might give it a shot so long as it also has strong promo material and I get a prompt answer to a test email.

seeric 12-12-2005 09:57 AM

i already send you traffic. and i make joins.

wooooooof.

adultchica 12-12-2005 09:59 AM

Roger V I would love to promote a program but I am tired of them not offering me the same exclusive content and nice pimped out templates that they do other good webmasters just cuz I'm a girl.

For example, webmaster A sends as many sales as female Webmaster B and pushes the program hard, but they give male webmaster A the exclusive content, exclusive templates and other extra shit but they don't do it for webmaster female B even though she sends just as many sales. And I know this for a fact because this is an example based on information I know first hand.

I am sooooooooo tired of that crap that it takes a whole hell of a lot to get me to promote a new program. I usually stick with most of the same sponsors after I realize they treat me good and give me the support that I need without whining about it.

The only programs that do me right are realitycash , flashcash, and pussycash

Marshal 12-12-2005 10:36 AM

i'm not lazy... i tried everything there! ;)

OMG Jim 12-12-2005 10:39 AM

RogerV, hope you had a good trip with the family. Interesting thread. :thumbsup

The answer to this would be my Holy Grail !!! :winkwink:

cherrylula 12-12-2005 11:03 AM

high post count

CynthiaB 12-12-2005 11:09 AM

Content - I promote what I like - if it's hot and the pics are clear - I'll give it a shot. But I'll stay longer if I the galleries and content are updated regularly.

Cyn

StudioCash Luke 12-12-2005 11:12 AM

Webmasters are not lazy :)

Dalai lama 12-12-2005 11:19 AM

Are you serious?

I didn't know any program would even think of gender.

EroticySteve 12-12-2005 11:37 AM

Since it hasn't been said in these exact words, Roger's program converts like mad.

You hit it right there on the head, 90% of new programs is nothing new just the same stuff under a different name. You paysites really have to make me say WHOA for me to want to change links.

Nicky 12-12-2005 12:03 PM

I've yet to have an issue like this. Perhaps I'm just lucky.

tranza 12-12-2005 04:02 PM

First of all I have to like the site and believe it is not too saturated and it will sell.

Then I join the program and I promote it if I find frequently updated content.

That's pretty much it, but higher payouts for console free also help.

:)

Linkster 12-12-2005 04:09 PM

I always send a little to see what type of conversions to expect - then I stay if they offer free-hosted sites (not galleries) and the more they have the more traffic I will send. Espcially if they dont just mass generate templated hosted free sites - that will get me to stop using a program faster than almost anything else.

Mako 12-12-2005 04:12 PM

Funny that none of you have mentioned the various contests and giveaways, which I know for a fact in Dee's case for example have worked extremely well.

SHOW YOUR GREED PEOPLE, Roger obviously wants honesty in this thread. Things like "exclusive content" and "hosted galleries" are obvious and common. What ISN'T common that attracts you, that's the Q.

After Shock Media 12-12-2005 04:20 PM

Bribe me before hand.

Ok in all seriousness.
I am often very shy of sponsors that offer to much easy stuff. I want to join a program and see more content zips than free hosted galleries. I want to see them pushing affiliates to actually work and not just dump a text list, import them into a script and dilute it even more. I want them to make you earn free hosting instead of giving away to anyone that asks. I do not want to see prepared keyword lists, pre built templates and so on. Odds are if you are heavy into doing everything for the affiliates I will not push it. I then suggest you go to bribing me before hand and paying me enough each month regardless of the traffic numbers so that I can have an outsourcer on it 24/7.

You must be kidding, right?

Call me tomorrow.
