The Ps3 definitly looks more interesting then the xbox. I can't wait to see what nintendo will come up with thought.

Nintendo will come up with yet another turd that they somehow convince you isn't a turd. You'll buy into the hype and get laughed at every time you tell your friends you were playing Mario 23 or Final Fantasy 42 with their giant cartoon graphics designed for the average 2 year old. They'll also smirk under their breath as you try to explain how "it's a really good game", "it's so fun compared to you crappy Halo 3", and "at least these games have a good storyline".

Sort of like the Xbox 360 owners will be sitting around playing the best game in the world on X-box and several other amazing games on their Playstation 3 while the idiots who would rather play fanboi than video games is missing out because owning both consoles is like cheating on their mothers.

NIntendo's Revolution is the direction that video game consoles are heading in. As always Nintendo is the pioneer....but will lose out in the end.

Other than a very strange controller that as many people will hate as love I've seen nothing to suggest that the new Nintendo is in anyway being a pioneer. Besides which pioneering is pointless unless you are giving people what they want and Nintendo's problem is simply that they usually fail to do so. Nintendo give people what Nintendo thinks they want and not what they actually need in a console.

About the only thing allowing Nintendo to sell consoles in any kind of number are excellent (albeit 'cartoony') games and good branding of some of their games/characters. Nintendo games may not be cool but they are usually fun. However, that doesn't mean their hardware is any good.



As for the spring launch of the PS3...why on earth would that stop you buying an XBOX360? If you enjoy gaming you'd be daft not to own both :)

that's what you think. They may have made some mistakes in the past, but they are far from dead.. Hell, the Gamecube power kills the PS2.. Only problem is the way nintendo handled the whole game shit.. Just look at resident evil 4 on the gamecube and compare it to teh ps2.. the ps2 on sucks shit.

the new nintendo (codename Revolution) will be a good gaming console as long as nintendo doesn't repeat the same mistakes as before. With Sony and Microsoft it's all about the graphic power and the hell with the gameplay and fun of the game. Great graphics are all good and everything, but if the game is boring pretty graphics will not make it better. Also, the controller for the Revolution will be something that the other ones do not have and will make playing games even more fun.

zelda boy? LOL I like that one. I'm just saying that Nintendo will not die anytime soon.. They just need to stop catering to a younger demographic and cater to everyone which is what the Nintendo Revolution will do, hopefully.

Not saying that sony and microsoft had no fun games. I'm just saying that in at least 80% of the cases it's all about the graphics. Just look at the games for the xbox360 right now.. most are just remakes or older games with prettier graphics and nothing more. Personally, if I paid that much for a console I would expect new and fresh games to play and not some remake of an older game with better graphics.

as long as nintendo makes those pokemon games over and over and keep pushing out new kids games they will never be on top again.

i think nintendo has a new portable gadget, nintendo ds, it has a touch pad the can be used as a mouse for simulation games, pretty cool but would prefer ps3 for its wide variety of games.

I dont think taking on Sony and MS head-on is a good strategy. I post this question to all: How old were you when you first played nintendo? I was maybe 10 - a kid. There are millions and millions of kids out there who play video games and someone needs to serve this market. Just because the original generation has outgrown nintendo doesnt mean that it's irrelevant. We are 'grown-ups' now so we have our Xbox and Playstation.

For nintendo to abandon an entire market demographic - and their bread and butter, would be foolish. There's a new 6 or 8 year old out there just waiting to discover Mario for the first time.

Speaking as a businesss-man, nintendo is winning. They are the only profitable hardware manufacturer. They make money on every console, game and accessory they sell. Sony and MS lose money on every console they sell. As I understand it, MicroSoft hasn't made a dime of profit off the XBox. Sony's games division lost money last year.

I don't care how many conversions my links get, if I spend more for the traffic than I make, I've lost and will go out of business. Eventually, Sony and MS will have to give up. I don't think their shareholders will tolerate it forever.

Totally wrong. You can have a bad year at the end of the system lifespan. It is more than made up by the giant years you had before. Sony will continue to grow and dominate the market along with XBOX. To think Sony would ever have to give up in the market is ridiculous.
