Portland Or or MI? If OR then Jakes is good, and I don't know if it's still there but Montage rocks! Don't know about gift certificates.

also national chains like Ruth Chris , and Mortons are there as well. right downtown.

But a local favorite that is out of this world and considered one of the best steak houses in the country is a place called The Ringside ( it is also downtown)
