A friend bought a new car and picked me up to go for a spin in it.
So were driving through the city and he lowers the windows and fucking C R A N K S the stereo up with some techno music. THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP

Everyone was looking at us. I wanted to crawl under a rock. I thought it was retarded.
I didnt say turn it down because I didnt want to look like a nerd, but I was just really embarassed and wanted out of there. Were driving around like this for 20 minutes.

Some jackass kid with his tunes cranked in our neighbourhood last summer ran the stop sign by the corner of our house and got t-boned by a dude in a minivan.

Kid wasn't injured, but his car was a writeoff. I couldn't thank the minivan driver enough.

same here, for some car audio is a hobby. there are car audio shows, etc. i never spent enough time on it for it to be a hobby but i love speeding down the 401 with some deep purple or whatever cranked.

Several times now, I've been driving with my kids (5,8 & 14) and ended up at a stoplight next to some asshole who is blasting some sort of rap shit (fuckin' this, fuckin' that, kill the bitch, etc...) and the crap's so loud, rolling up the windows doesn't even help. I think I'm going to keep a stash of big rocks next to my seat for the next time it happens. I'll just tell my kids to close their eyes before I start hurling.

I like my music loud , but i dont go out of my way to make other people hear it.. infact i usually have my windows up. Occasionally someone will ask me to turn it down , thats the only time i roll my windows down and crank it up.

When I hear load music that comes out of smb's car....I usually think that they're just teenagers who want to draw ppl's attention to them.
