I remember watching one of those "world's worst/best/scariest cop videos" shows on cable a few years ago. The cops were chasing a black guy in a stolen car, but he kept stopping, getting out and dancing like Michael Jackson. He did it a few times, until he stopped again, got out... and they shot him with rubber bullets.

He was probably on pcp. Notice the one officer sprays him with pepper spray with no effect. CLASSIC sign of someone high on pcp.

Fuckers high on that shit just don't react to pain at all, got to literally fuck up some organs to get them to chill out.

Why didn't they try to wound him first? It was an obvious suicide by cop tactic. That pig on the right fired a buckshot right into his head while he was down. :disgust

Split second decision; they also had to look out for officer saftey. If you charge at armed police with a knife, you know you're dead. The guy also could've thrown it and then hurt someone that way.

Why should the officers put their lives at any more risk? If a man with a knife is 21 feet or closer to you, he can literally stab you before you have enough time to register and react. This is why officers are trained to shoot instantly in such situations.

They already sprayed him with pepper spray and he didn't react, so they knew he was probably high on pcp, which means even if shot he would continue to advance unless something vital was hit.

These officers wanted to go home to their families at the end of the day, and trying to wound a man coming at them with a knife instead of stopping him cold simply isn't worth the risk.

The cop that says " I will run over you " could have gotten his ass into deep shit in most states. That is assault with a motorvehicle, and not to mention a stupid fucking thing to say on camera.

Furthermore, if shooting is a must, the commanding officer should have had the situation under control to make sure that only a single shot was fired to the kids leg as a warning. These cops are nothing but time bombs that were angry & used this incident as an excuse to release their gung ho trigger happy desires as a means of revenge & venting.

I have had people come at me with knives before, & I did not have to shoot them, but I still got the knife away from them & I took them out. It's not that hard if you know what you're doing. They should teach these cops how to protect themselves without guns. Afterall, London bobbies have learned pretty well without guns.
