My Father passed away this year and I try and call my Mother everyday. I say it to both of them on a daily basis...

A few hours ago when the family all got together to cut down Christmas Trees.

I just talked to my step-father this afternoon and let him know how much he is loved. He's in a residential home (not like an institution, cool people run it), and he's not getting around very well.

When my mother died suddenly over 20 years ago, I vowed to make sure that I would never regret it when a loved one died, by not letting them know how much I love them while they are alive.

Love can reconcile and transcend many differences. My mother was a born again devout Christian and I am an atheist, and my father is as far to the right as one can be (short of the crazy fringe), while I am pretty far out there on the left, although I do a better job of seeing the gray areas and making an effort to understand those whom I am politically at odds with.

Putting mutual respect and love ahead of all of the petty socialized dogmas that are imposed upon us, and your relationships, and the world become a better place.

Love is all you need...

Spoke to my mother today and told her - I speak to her 2 - 3 times per week and tell her every time! Pops too. No shame in that shit. I love my parents PERIOD and they love me ... I'm blessed that I still have them and can!

Also, I tell my wife, daughter, son and dog every chance I get, yo!

Love, nurturing and affection = very healthy. Every night I tell my wife how beautiful she is and how much I love her ... not a day goes by that I don't! Feels good to say it and hear it back

My son just turned 17 months 2 days ago. Every hug and kiss he gives me makes my day EVERY DAY!

Mom's the one person I can always count on, financially, mentally or whatnot. It's nice to be young and stupid when mom's got your back ;)

That being said, I do tell her I love her eavery time I call her.. a few times a week.

It's hard to come out with that out of the blue.

Unfortunately i cant realy... I used to tell my mom all the time... The last time was april 28, 2000 the day she passed away... as for my father, well I dont see or talk to him much.. Maybe I should put in a little effort

Every time I talk to them on the phone. I wish I could see them more then 1 time a year :-(

I can't say EVERY time I talk to my mom, but pretty close. I tell my kids about 20 times a day so I'm sure they know momma loves 'em :)

I sign off of every phone call telling them I love them - my sister too. You never know what the last thing you say to someone will be and I would like it to be that I told them I loved them.
