The WRONGEST Movie Ever... "Ringer"

I saw the trailer and fell on the floor laughing soooo hard I thought I would need an ambulance.

This movie is soooo WRONG! It's about a couple of con men who try to fix the 'Special Olympics'. The pose as mentally handicapped people and join the 'Special Olympics' to win.

I can't even post the trailer. It is toooo funny. See it at your own risk.

EdgeXXX 12-10-2005 04:11 PM

Definitely looks funny as hell

candyflip 12-10-2005 04:11 PM

how is it so wrong... it's obvious, even from the trailer, that he is the butt of all the jokes...

tony286 12-10-2005 06:08 PM

Mako 12-10-2005 06:56 PM

Along with the "wrongest" grammar ever in your thread title.

lol, good old Greg B.

pornguy 12-10-2005 07:09 PM

Sounds like it will be great.

xNetworx 12-10-2005 07:57 PM

I think it could also very well suck ass :2 cents:

sickkittens 12-10-2005 08:02 PM

It's not that wrong, actually. The Farrelly Brothers do ALOT for the RI Special Olympics...so they can get away w/ it. :winkwink:

I know, I know, I'm just kidding around.

You wouldn't have been able to make this movie had this been 5 years ago. Maybe shows like Ren & Stimpy, Simpsons, South Park have shown that if you're not uptight you can actually laugh at yourself.

chazer 12-10-2005 10:51 PM

the thing is though, your not really laughing at the handicaps in this movie, you are laughing with them (usually at knoxville's character)

MINOR SPOILER BELOW -----

in fact, a group of them (his buddies) actually figure out that he isn't really handicap but go along with it and train him in hopes that he will beat this other guy who always clobbers everyone else.

chazer 12-11-2005 04:01 AM

also, in case anyone still thinks that this movie is going to be poking fun at the special olympics
http://www.specialolympics.org/Speci...3+December.htm

an article on the special olympics site commending the movie

bringer 12-11-2005 04:08 AM

i wonder which southpark episode they'll rip off next

Could have been a rip off..don't know. but you'd be amazed at how long some scripts sit around before they're even made..could be 1 year, could be 20.

It's called "development hell."

And SouthPark these guys are known for being able to whip out their episodes because of the process being so streamlined, unlike The Simpsons.

That's why some of the most recent headlines are at time included in an episode that airs just 1-2 weeks later.

So who knows...Hollywood is not kown for it's originality. Just look at how many remakes are being relaesed just for the holidays, this is not including the rest of the years crop..even the top movie King Kong is just yet another remake..a third remake..LOL

Then there's Cheaper by the dozen 2, Yours, Mine and Ours, Fun with Dick and Jane

Violetta 12-11-2005 05:30 AM

hehe... looks funny. JK is crazy!

Manowar 12-11-2005 05:45 AM

saw the trailer, didn't look too great

The movie premise was used in South Park. Cartman joins the special olympics in order to win. Of course, he ends up coming last which, I assume, will be the finale to this movie.

Constructing this film through random scenes, director Harmony Korine abruptly jettisoned any sort of narrative plot, so here we go: Solomon and Tummler are two bored teenage boys who live in Xenia, Ohio. A few years ago, a tornado swept through it, destroying more than half the town and killing the same amount, including Solomon's father. The film, from there, chronicles the anti-social adventures these two boys have. These include sniffing glue, killing cats, having sex, riding dirtbikes, listening to black metal, and meeting a cavalcade of quirky, bizzare, and scary people. These include a man who pimps his mentally ill wife to our anti-heroes, three sisters who play with their cat and practice becoming strippers, a gay black Jewish midget and his boyfriend, a 12-year-old gay transvestite who is also a cat killer, Solomon's mother, two foul-mouthed six-year olds, and most importantly, a nymphlike skateboarder who walks around town wearing pink rabbit ears.

that's actually incorrect...it's the guy's mentally ill sister that he's pimping out....and how could they leave out the dude with the melon-shaped head who eats spaghetti while sitting in a bathtub full of dirty water while his mother dances in a pair of her dead husband's shoes?

Gummo...you'll either love it or completely loathe it...

the 2 boys job is actually to kill cats and sell them to the chinese restaurant for food.. theres no dirtbikes either , just regular bikes , they ride around with slingshots killing cats and acting cool.
