what to do about a sad cat
 

my roommate left to her homecountry (Italy) to visit some friends and family and I am "stuck" here with her cat


I have the impression that right now the cat is like real sad , she just sits in front of me staring down with a really sad face

any suggestions what to do ?

Get a flashlight and turn it on a few inches from the cat, then keep pulling the beam away as it tries to pounce on it. After several minutes/hours of this, pick up the cat, cuddle it and stroke it, and the cat should be happy.

Give it attention (talk to it, mentioning it's name when you do), feed it and change it's litter daily and it should stay happy.
