Dallas people need help.
Just made it to Dallas area today. Here till Monday and was wondering if a nice steak place to eat? I got Bob's Steak & Chop House and a few Brazilian steak places wrote down. Anyone been to Fogo De Ciao or Texas De Brazil?

The Renissance Hotel (yeah i cant spell it right) on Stemmons Fwy has an awesome steakhouse in it. Cant remember the name, but it had excellant peppercorn-crusted ribeyes.

is Dallas a fun place to live? Real estate prices seem low, was looking into it.

I'm from the Boston originally which is really expensive in just about every way...
I have a nice home in a NW suburb, 3/4 of an acre on a heavily treed lot , with a creek in my backyard. About 30 miles from downtown Dallas. Besides, I have no regrets about leaving behind the likes of politicians like Ted Kennedy and John kerry in good ol' Taxachusetts..... |

Austin has a somewhat younger, liberal flavor. It is more expensive than Dallas. Both cities would be fun if you're single.... :winkwink: |

Think we are gonna hit up the Bob's chop house near downtown. Don't wanna be driving around everywhere.

Well I'm in my 20's and I can tell you that Dallas has plenty of fun shit to do. Lots of clubs, college crowd, trendy places to hang out, and a huge mix of people from different areas.
Although I'm in Houston area now, I am originally from Austin and we used to party in both Austin and Dallas. I can tell you that Dallas is fun and Austin is great too. Plus if you move to Dallas you are only a couple of hours from 6th street in Austin and a few hours from Houston . |
A crackhead actually jumped onto the hood of my truck while I was driving the last time I was in Dallas.:eyecrazy
Everytime I go up to Dallas there's fucking crackheads everywhere. We probably have just as many here in Houston, but they're mostly on the east side. In Dallas they seem spread out everwhere :1orglaugh I'd stick to the suburbs. |
I'm reading and talking to a few people from the area. Sounds downtown dallas sucks, lots of homeless people and nothing to do. Gotta find something to do tomorrow afternoon and then hanging out at Deep Ellum for the night I think.
