Get listed on a PR5 blog aggregator

AdultBlogIndex, the world's first adult blog aggregator has a new look, and lots of traffic.

With a #3 Google ranking for adult blog it is getting about 30,000 hits a day, which means AdultBlogIndex not only makes a nice link building tool, but it can send you traffic as well.

Features include:

it pings adult blogs every hour for new posts
it ranks by the number of new posts

For those of you constantly seeking new trades, here is an established PR5 site that is willing to give you a link back. I would recommend it highly.

Kevsh 12-09-2005 01:07 PM

Im sure it's good for traffic but the home page links are in a frame that has no PR, so the SEO benefits are minimal.

What he said. great idea none-the-less..

V_RocKs 12-09-2005 01:36 PM

Code:

<iframe name="I1" width="590" height="21000" border="0" frameborder="0" src="index2.php">
Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently
configured not to display inline frames.</iframe>

Consider:

Code:

<? include("index2.php"); ?>
Instead... preserve the PR benefits...

V_RocKs 12-09-2005 01:38 PM

BTW.. kickass idea... Adult community really needed something like this and you delivered!

This didn't work is there something else you need to do besides add that PHP code?

I am just the messenger, it is JenC's project, however, you are right about the frame and I did not even pick up on it.

I am sure she will make it right.

It will be fixed very soon. I'm having the host make some server configuration changes. :thumbsup

When I finally changed it to index.php and put that include in it the graphics were all stretched out of shape and the page scrolled horizontally and everything was screwed up. Why would changing to PHP do that?

DutchTeenCash 12-09-2005 03:04 PM

great idea

Veterans Day 12-09-2005 03:16 PM

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .html

the SEO benefits are going to be minimal anyways.. PR5 isnt much when its spread out over 500+ links on that page. cool site though :thumbsup

Good cuz I don't think I can convert it to PHP. The document gets all screwy when I do.

Besides it gets hella traffic and that's all I care about. :thumbsup

On that note, wanna sell a text link or banner link on the site (hardlink only please).

pornguy 12-09-2005 04:38 PM

Been part of that for a while now.

fris 12-09-2005 04:49 PM

awesome idea. if you have a button for the site, and can give it to me, i can add it to my blog traffic resource site, i am redoing it this weekend with a new design and adding a bunch of stuff to it.

Sounds great! Will you also please email me at jennifer at phatbucks dotcom and tell me if you want just a standard button 160x80 or the dimensions you prefer instead? Thanks!!

The idea is good, but I have had a blog with a feed listed there for months. I update it 2-3 times a day, so itīs very active. Just went to check on the traffic and iīm getting 2 hits a day being listed there, sending a lot more. Not trying to be an ass, but thatīs not really a good trade and if the link back to me is in a frame, I donīt even get SEO benefits. Also, even if it wasnīt in a frame, dividing a PR5 over 500+ links as someone mentioned doesnīt give me anything.

Just an observation, not trying to put you down.

studiocritic 12-09-2005 05:18 PM

Jen if you hit me up on ICQ i'll help you figure out the PHP issues..

This is why we offer the "Featured Blog" slot. That slot alone gets a few hundred a day. Which sounds low - and it is - but the site is barely 6 months old. It's growing every day.

You don't need your index to be php. Include it in html using

Code:

<!--#include file="index2.php" -->

gg1e21 12-09-2005 06:15 PM

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml .html .htm

If you're gonna list 500 links on one page, then it's useless, spread it over a few pages and ordering them randomly everytime the page is refreshed (using MySQL RANDOM call). Or put a ranking algorithm in there, the higher you send back traffic or your PR or whatever, the higher you rank (1st page, 2nd page).... hmm, whatever, just ideas.

spacedog 12-09-2005 06:19 PM

I added 4 blogs :thumbsup
my htaccess isnt going to allow the images to display via the feed, sorry

I tend to agree with you, but tell that to The Hun. Ya know? I'm just looking to build up the traffic so everyone can benefit from it and I will keep farming it.

And how do I get listed in the "featured blog" slot with my PR4 celeb blog?

Violetta 12-10-2005 02:16 AM

Shit... that is a lot of feeds!

nakki 12-10-2005 06:13 AM

I'll just have to mention the new blog aggregator we'll be launching in a few days - the beta version is available at http://planet.topadultblogs.com/ . If you're interested, you can sign up here.

Please note, that the URL is going to be just (www.)topadultblogs.com when we launch it, so there's no need for a recip link yet.

BTW we also use adultblogindex with our blog, and haven't had any problems. But a little variety never hurt anyone...

Basic_man 12-10-2005 08:34 AM

Thanks for sharing baddog ! :thumbsup

So start your own thread

V_RocKs 12-12-2005 11:07 PM

Funny, someone mentioned they got like 2 or 5 hits or some shit from this aggregator. I traced back the traffic I got from the aggregator and even though it only send about 10 hits, a shitload of other websites are RSS'ing my shit and sending a few hundred hits of traffic because they apparently spyder the aggregators page and then repackage it and serve it on their sites.
