What's your favourite Christmas/Holiday song?

I've been adding more and more Xmas songs to my playlist to get into the spirit of things..

Some of my fav's are:

Alvin and the Chipmunks - Christmas don't be late (thanks for adding this to the Ynotradio playlist Brasco! :wetkiss

David Bowie/Bing Crosby - Little Drummer Boy (Bowie's soulful voice coupled with the legendary crooner is great!)

and of course, what playlist isn't complete without Oh Holy Night sung by Cartman :winkwink:

What are yours? I need more tunes!! :pimp

White Christmas =-) Wishful thinking on my part, for here in Phoenix =-(

RuthB 12-09-2005 12:12 PM

take a trip up to Canada, we've got lots of snow all across this place! :winkwink:

White Christmas is a great one, I think I've heard it sung by at least 6 different singers on the radio so far this holiday season!

Although not technically an Xmas song, I happen to enjoy Adam Sandler's "Chanukuh Song".

"I Saw Mommy Doing Santa Claus" is another holiday favorite of mine, and it really isn't Xmas unless you go watch the Teamsters do the "Buttcracker Suite".

Other songs that get me in the holiday spirit include, "Smash the Malls", "We Wish You Weren't Living With Us", "Yellow Snow! Yellow Snow! Yellow Snow!", and "Walkin' Around in Women's Underwear."

Here are the lyrics to "Walking Around in Women's Underwear" (sung to the tune of "Walking in a Winter Wonderland"):

Quote:

Lacy things, the wife is missin'
Didn't ask, her permission
I'm wearin' her clothes
Her silk pantyhose
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

In the store, there's a teddy
Little straps, like spaghetti
It holds me so tight
Like handcuffs at night
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

In the office there's a guy named Melvin,
He pretends that I am Murphy Brown
He'll say, "Are you ready?" I'll say, "Whoa Man!"
"Let's wait until our wives are out of town!"

Later on, if you wanna
We can dress, like Madonna
Put on some eyeshade
And join the parade
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

Lacy things- missin'
Didn't ask- permission
Wearin' her clothes
Her silk pantyhose
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

YARGH! of the classics, I be partial to "The Little Drummer Boy" (I play drums) Lately I've been getting into Harry Connick Jr's Treatments of the xmas stuff.

Also the Trans Siberian Orchestra version of "Carol Of The Bells" is awesome.

Would you like an apple pie with that?.... Ding Fries Are Done!

Harry Connick Jr has an amazing voice, though sometimes he sounds so much like old blue eyes it's scary!

Santa baby is my favorite.

I even bought an old album of Aertha Kitt signing it.
it was sang by a lot of female signers...( well, it is a female song ) I heard a version of Marylin Monrow, Madonna, and Britney Spears so far.

You gotta add that one to your collection

great one, I think I downloaded a few versions of that on the weekend, definitely the Marilyn one anyways.

I also just got sent Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite (well the punk version by the Vandals :winkwink: ) - now that's a great suite of music for the holidays too!
