    outsourcing work, your thoughts

i have nothing against outsourcing or anything, but i find if i get someone else to do my work, i know in the end its not going to be done right, and its going to take me double the time to fix it so its the way i usally like it.

i have even got a friend locally to do some stuff, and i have had to fix it. its just so hard to teach someone your game. how exactly you like your sites done. so if you do hire someone. and they do mess up, you will spend double the time fixing it. even if they do a good job. in my mind it wont be perfect. cause i only like my sites done a certain way.

but most of the time i am lazy, and would love for my stuff to be done quicker. so outsourcing would help. just i wouldnt do it.

It all boils down to how much you trust the person's competency, and how effective and specific you were in your directions. As long as you're using someone who has any skill in the are in which they're working and you've clearly laid out deadlines, expectations, and quality control you're on a good path to recieving a finished product you're going to be happier with and spend less (if any) time error-correcting. Just my two cents

If you are so picky it has to be 100% your vision of perfection you will never find anyone (unless you know how to mind meld) and shouldn't bother even trying to outsource.

Why is this even a concern when by your own account you save half the time by not outsourcing? If you are just wanting to be nice and give someone some work have them clean your house or wash your car... or are you picky 100% about that too?

you must be a perfectionist, nothing bad about that but if you want someone to
do the work for you, then you must be willing to spend most of your time making
that person work as perfectly as you. 2 cents

You can only get so big by yourself. If you ever want to move up you have to let shit slide or find someone that can do what you want.

Hand off your tedious, labor intensive tasks first. Outsourcing is an long term investment and it takes a little patients to get it right sometimes.
