Would like to know that too. If you go here http://www.whois.eu/ and search for 'sex' for example you'll see there's a ton of applications for sex.eu. How is that possible? They pick a name out of a hat?

First they look who has the trade mark for it. After that, who was first will get it...

But I dunno if it makes sense to register the generic names now in the sunrise..Will you "get" them anyway, when noone else has the trademark for it?

right now, its only for governements and patent holders

within two months you can reg your company name

and then another two months later in april 06 anyone can freely reg a name

prereg on the .eu is BULLSHIT ,
