It's tragic but I dont think the game can or should be blamed...millions of people play those sorta games and dont top themselves. There was obviously a problem with his state of mind to begin with.

yeah I definitely quit WoW. Not for the reason of being weak and susceptible to suicide, but because it was consuming my life. And that was reason enough.

It is sad that young people see no other choice than to kill themself.
But it's even worse that the parents didn't pick up on his state of mind or told him to get off the bloody PC.

Well, it's kind of like how for awhile, kids were being raised by television, only now, kids are being raised by PC's. So, since the parents weren't the ones parenting. . .of course the game had to be blamed. . .

Its a combo fo problems. The games made now are crazy violent and if you don't think they influence young people ... you're crazy. I do think some of these games should be banned or you put an ago limit on them like cigerettes.

I also blame the parents. They shouldn't be letting their kids play that shit so much and they should also be able to see if there son/daughter is jacked up in the head.

Allthough, there is a chance he was under the influence of drugs. I saw a video in my hometown of some 15 year old that took too many mushrooms and ran around the neighborhood naked, cops came and he jumped on the cop car and then punched through the window ... he got shot 3 times in the chest.

I still play it as much as I think it's a waste of time :( And now with the expansion pack coming up soon with the Blood Elves even worse maybe argh!

Yeah, some games are way too violent and at least need the age ban, but in this case ...

#1 - Have you played World of Warcraft? No blood, really, and the violence is not realistic at all. It's not even supposed to be.

#2 - You have to pay a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FEE to play. How do you think he paid that? With Cash? I don't think so ... most likely it was with his parents credit card.

These parents are pathetic, but I do feel sorry for their loss :(

If the parents felt he was spending too much time with the game, they should have acted like parents and fixed the situation to thier satisfaction. I'm sure the judge & jury hearing the case will most likely agree.

If the parents bought it for him, or allowed him to play it, then they are to blame. they just want to get paid.

When I was a kid and was watching to much tv my parents would send me out on my bike and be like. Go out and get some air and don't come back for at least 2 hours. WTF is up with dumb ass parents these days. I bet they are complete morons. The kid probably had no friends and hardly any social contact at an age when interaction with peers is critical
