Yea, Khao San rd is for backpackers...
Been there a few times, but can't say it's that great as there are much better places to hang out that are more in the center of town, not at the other side.

I can say if Khao San was the first place I visited in Thailand, it would have been a much better experience. As it was, it was one of the last places I went and yeah, lots of broke ass dirty farangs. And girls there seemed more into Thai guys. Couldn't blame them.

funny, what do you really need a backpack for, why not leave it at the hotel or hostile when you go drink or eat
