Revenue is obviously a function of traffic. But consider the effect of incremental traffic that is "activating" parts of the archive already fallen out of the active "skin".

Like for example, that thread I started earlier. Normally, we'd all be thinking, oh noooo, it's on page twooo -- it's gooooone, it's value looooost -- not so, anymore. In fact, that thread has a kind of value very few others have, because it is dependent on neither memory nor bookmarks.

Have you noticed how ODD it feels when you find that perfect blog post, just the thing you were looking for, and it's from like 2003 -- :)
