Is the Sony DSC-W7 any good? Why do SLR's cost so much and get the best reviews?

Great Camera with a Karl Zeiss lens and very very fast loading. 7.2 megapixels
and a nice large 2.5 inch display screen.

Also depends on what you are going to do with it. It is a great camera for the casual photogropher.
