Remembering is important, lest we repeat mistakes.

No more world wars please.

theking 12-07-2005 04:58 PM

And again.

JoeS 12-07-2005 05:09 PM

War is man kinds greatest tradgedy. The Japanese surprise attack was not meant to be a surprise attack but became so because it took longer than expected to decode a declaration of war. Still it was a terrible day for America and a terrible mistake by the Japanese government who underestimated the resolve of the American people to survive and triumph over those who attack us. The Japanese imperial government prosecuted the war some sixty years ago with as much brutality as the Nazi's did. Those who forget the past are much more likely to repeat it. War is very seldom the best solution to a nations problems. One day we will find a better way, leaders with more wisdom, and put leave war where it belongs... on the Xbox or Playstation2.

God bless all of those who fought to ensure our freedom. Because of it we aren't speaking German today.

The Japs were fearless and refused to give up. They would die throwing sticks and stones at us beforing giving up. It's amazing when you think about it.

Clearly nothing has changed in over sixty years. The concept that one race is better than any other race still exists today in the middle east because they are "the chosen ones" in the "Holy land".

tranza 12-07-2005 06:01 PM

that's a sad date
