There's no such thing as a "simple" forum script of any kind. Try phpBB. I don't know how your dBase is setup with your existing forum but I do know that PHP is a really flexable language. Might want to look up a programmer to handle it for you if you're lost. Sorry if I couldn't be of much help.

simple but powerful: punbb.

whatever you do, don't use phpbb - opensource has its drawbacks!

FUDforum

prob not the simple thing your looking for though, however this is one of the simplest to install and administer.
:2 cents:

maybe i don't understand the application, with FUDforums, phpBB and vbulletin you can make them look however you want with a little reading (1 day)

I've done both FUDforum and phpBB intergrations into affiliate programs and mainstream sites. Translating over both user logins and site look and feel, with both types they generally only take a day or two.

I lean more towards FUDforum, rather than vbulletin or phpBB because FUDforum was written by one of the leading php security experts in the field. (he just published a php security book as well) The other 2 are littered with security problems, problems in general, and scaling issues (as Jupiter has found with GFY (vbulliten)) FUDforums is good clean code, and easy to modify, and did i mention it's free. You can buy a support contract for it to get whatever you need out of it done as well for a couple hundred bucks. However it is easy enough to do on your own, if you just spend a little time.

As for smaller forum applications, simple apps no bells no rep, i wouldn't recomend any of them at this time as i don't know of any that stand out. I'm sure you could find something on hotscripts.com in the php section in a matter of 5 minutes. I would not put it on my server though w/out knowing who did it and how the code operates.

:winkwink:

Check www.hotscripts.com
