Ok how the fuck did he do the Garbage Can Trick or The Levitation? I really can't buy into the trick cameras because then you would have to assume everyone in time square was in on it. First time I hear about this guy, was this trick aired live on tv? Either everyone was in on it (easy, just throw some money at them) or it's edited. Or he's Neo. :p

The Garbage can trick. Watch the lower portion of the can it is blocked by people.
He escapes through that and runs up on the top of the sign...ta daaaa.

Nothing special about that one but some of his other stuff is amazing.

If he is so good, why does he need to put paper in front of it. Just walk through the glass. Its a fixed glass panel that moves up and there is a hole in it. Which is why he uses paper to cover it up. The guy inside is payed off.

You don't see him get inside the box, and the shredding machine has a back curtain strategically placed so you don't see him get out of the box (if he was ever inside it).

I disagree, you do see him get in the box and his hands are sticking out and there is no visible back curtain. There was a tarp on the wood chipper but that is removed.There are no cut aways it's one straight shot. I don't think the average person could accomplish his tricks without a shit load of practice and even then it would be a pretty tall order. I know he's just a regular dude but you gotta give credit where credit is due he is a pretty impressive Illusionist.

Don't know what you mean, the video you posted only shows 'some' hands upclose, you don't see him get inside the box. On the far shots you just see some hands bobbling about wich could be done with dummy hands using animatronics.

I heard he got a 100 million dollar contract for his own show in vegas.
He is no hack and obviously very good at what he does. It looks like he got in the box but I think the wood chipper was altered to give him a narrow window of opportunity to escape :2 cents:

That is a heavily edited piece. The entire Chris Angel show is a trick. That includes all of the David Blaine stuff , none of it is new it is just that both those guys are really good showmen. some of the best. They are both great to watch unfortuantely when you know some of the tricks you see right through it. But yeah Chris and David are some of the best in the industry. It is great to see that after all the CGI that you can go back to basic editing developed 80 years ago in film and they work better then ever.

slight of hand is one thing ... hard to explain the other stuff

the point isn't the slight of hand ( although that has alot to do with it )

The point was , people you dont expect to be "in" on the trick ARE in on the trick..

Most of the time you see people around and the only valid conclusion is , "unless that person is in on it then that is awesome magic " and your first conclusion is usually right.. they ARE in on it..
