Thanks man...I got 3 cigs left and live miles from a store, and no car because my lady left it at the airport (she's in Vietnam visiting family) and I am done with cigs!! And hey, good luck to your next attempt at quitting! :thumbsup

Oh and just a warning ahead of time...starting tomorrow when I wake up i'll probably be pretty pissy for a few days until the addiction wears thinner lol :1orglaugh

Nookster 12-06-2005 07:23 PM

sorry, I meant "Good luck with this attempt!" :thumbsup

i'd start looking for a new place to live. Really.

reynold 12-07-2005 03:15 AM

that's good to know that you already quit smoking, now get your ass into some gym action.

gecko 12-07-2005 04:28 AM

Sperate yourself from the smokers..

reed_4 12-07-2005 05:24 AM

good luck, i hope you are not a good starter only but would continue that good decision you've made.

tgpmakers 12-07-2005 05:38 AM

2 and a half months for me now ya everyone seems to smoke now a days but it doesn't bother me they can blow it in my face and and still don't care. I look at cigarettes in peoples hands and think how the hell did I smoke that. Was on the 4mg Nicorette gums for 2 months now i'm on the 2mg and doing well hopefully i'll start cutting down on them soon the hardest part is work though were the gums are needed the most. But keep at it and oneday the nicotine addiction will fuck off. :thumbsup

Silent_Thunder 12-07-2005 05:49 AM

and you are still alive? damn it, you are good.

ilbb 12-07-2005 06:08 AM

Vitasoy 12-07-2005 07:25 AM

EroticySteve 12-07-2005 07:31 AM

sunflower seeds will keep you busy and distracted. The ones in the shell of course.

ezrydn 12-07-2005 07:56 AM

Wargames,

I quit a month ago after being told I had bladder tumors that ONLY show up, in my life, from smoking. So, quitting wasn't a problem for me. As for others, they can take the chance, just like I did. They can smoke all they want. I won't.

As a "pacifier," I used "butter scotch drops" hard candy. Same "hand to mouth/suck" behavior, just no reward, other than the sweetness.

Give it a try.

I've already noticed the difference and, as for the tumors, they're gone and I'm undergoing bio-treatment. So, no. I don't think nicotine is necessary any longer. LOL

Also, for you who know it all, bladder tumors don't give any "signs" until it's too late. As for medical checkups, you have to be looking specifically for bladder tumors, otherwise, they'll miss'em. I didn't know this before. Now YOU do! Ball's in your court. Make a decision.

Manowar 12-07-2005 08:00 AM

Congrats man

dylan4U 12-07-2005 08:01 AM

I am crossing all my fingers. Good luck

J-$ 12-07-2005 08:26 AM

Good luck. I'm quitting myself on january 1st, along with my 60yo dad who's gonna die if he keeps smoking like that, so that's motivation right there. The next step is quitting weed, at least to try and not smoke everyday :S
BTW there's no trick you need bulletproof will/discipline, and that's that.

Th!nk 12-07-2005 09:28 AM

good for you and goodluck! :)

Abithefiend 12-07-2005 09:33 AM

Good luck mate. I quit for two years; helped not hanging out with smoking friends for a couple of weeks until I was over the worst....I have to say I never felt so healthy as I did when I wasn't smoking.

TheLegacy 12-07-2005 09:36 AM

I quit over a year and a half ago.. best decision I made. If people around you smoke ask them to stop or go elsewhere until you can deal wiht the temptation. If you fall, dont worry.. start again and try and pass the days you quit next time. All the best for a longer life.

WWC-Jon 12-07-2005 10:39 AM

Wargames I am going on 4.5 months. Stay strong and walk away from those who smoke. You can do it!!
