SilentKnight 12-06-2005 03:48 PM

Suh-weeeeet move :)

xNetworx 12-06-2005 03:49 PM

Why is it the nicest ever?

The Usual Suspect 12-06-2005 03:57 PM

Damn! Nice!

Doctor Dre 12-06-2005 07:53 PM

OMG that owns... what year was this ? not this year right ?

Axeman 12-06-2005 08:02 PM

certainly not the best goal ever. There was one last year from an allstar game breakaway competition in the AHL where the kid went between his legs, scooped the puck, spun around and flung the puck lacrosse style after the spin, top shelf.

This Malik goal is very nice but many good players can do moves like that in that kinda situation. But it was creative to do at that time in a shootout.

Yea it was this year.. in just the last couple weeks... 15 rounds into a shoot-out from a guy who had no other goals this year... Thats gotta make the years highlight reel..

RevSand 12-06-2005 08:14 PM

Damn thumbking beat me to it while i was watching the clip again... ohh well.. :(

Doctor Dre 12-06-2005 08:15 PM

It says the date on the page ... that's just awesome

flashfire 12-06-2005 08:23 PM

it might be nice if he actually did it in a game

It was as good as in a game.. it WON the game.. its not like it was in warm-ups or a All-star type game... All the money was on the line with that shot.. Pretty ballzy for a guy to try it who is not a normal goal scorer..

Spunky 12-06-2005 08:27 PM

One of the sweetest I have ever seen

DK 12-06-2005 08:35 PM

I thought it was no big deal till i seen the slow mo replay
That was a ballsy move and well executed!
:thumbsup

I don't get why they sent him there thought

I meant in actual game action...this was a shootout after 15 guys had already missed, not much pressure...no defence skating after him, nice goal and all but the shootout is an all-star type gimmick that has little to do with hockey

King Adam 12-06-2005 08:45 PM

Defenetly has a chance of winning an ESPY :)

Kevsh 12-06-2005 08:49 PM

I don't want to burst the bubble here, but that goal has been done many times - even in pro games - but for Malik it was on a shootout so it was easier for him to set it up. Guys have done that in games before where it's much harder (read: 200-pound defencemen trying to run you over).

Still, not disputing it was sweet and now every kid in minor hockey is practicing this :)

reynold 12-06-2005 09:38 PM

Shit, that's just one of a kind...

You are right, I remember Mario Lemieux did the same move back in like '96-'97, stunned everyone, and I started practicing it all the time (along with everyone else).

For the nicest hockey goal, I have to agree with Axeman on that awesome lacrosse-style goal though.

Vitasoy 12-07-2005 09:27 AM

and it was by Marek Malik of all people..lol!

IYP_Mich 12-07-2005 09:35 AM

What was special about this goal was that Malik is a defenseman and you dont often see defenseman with hands like these.

dready 12-07-2005 09:38 AM

That was a pretty sweet goal. :thumbsup

Jakke PNG 12-07-2005 09:41 AM

I remember this one goal a few years back (maybe 10) where this one dude was behind the goal, took the puck on top of his stick and just lifted it up in the top corner..that was sweet..

The move on the video certainely took balls to do, but it's easy.. even *I* can do it, not even kidding.

C-Bass 12-07-2005 09:42 AM

hollly macrooooooooooooooo

Nicky 12-07-2005 09:43 AM

One of the best I've ever seen, I saw it live on tv.

Sergio_AVAcash 12-07-2005 09:45 AM

Great move aaand scoooooores!

ChewbaCreative 12-07-2005 09:53 AM

that goal was made it after 15 rounds of shotout so that's a great goal at that situation

Outch... if he moves you with your stick between your legs, you are cooked
