Buying Traffic/Feeding
Can someone explain to me what feeding a TGP means? It means to purchase traffic from a place like Choker or Joe's right? But what exactly do they mean by this...feeding?
Also, can you actually make a profit on just buying traffic to your TGP from such traffic brokers? Because I have tried buying it for a webcam site of mine on 3 different occassions and from multiple sites off of Choker and never made a sale. I came to the realization it's just not good for webcams. But can you make money from it with a TGP? Or is it meant for feeding, to get traffic to trade with others? I don't see why it wouldn't, I mean otherwise you're purchasing shit to trade with others. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question... - Walrus |
It means going to Mc Donalds and buying a bunch of Happy Meals to eat.
Just ask Sleazy, he knows all about feeding :) Regards, Lee |

While it's true that not all traffic is created equal, within a wide range you can get most generalized adult traffic to react in a certain way to stimuli. If you can understand the source of the traffic you can understand how to potentially market it. Adult traffic flows through a network of pipes. Depending on what pipe it entered the system you can better determine how to serve it when it ends up on your page.
Cams should and do often do very well with generalized traffic, without knowing our page It would be hard to determine exactly where the disconnect is but you should be able to purchase traffic from Choker as well as other sources and convert it. Choker sells a lot of traffic because people make money from it. I catch myself doing it at times too, but having done marketing at a high level for the last few years I tend to sometimes get wrapped up in the wrong things and forget about hot buttons and what gets people revved up. |
