I am brainstorming an idea & figured I'd see if I can get some bloggers to experiment with me.

Post if you would be interested in trying out something different & would be willing to participate in an experiment. The goal is to help sponsor sales, increase traffic & there is SEO potential as well.


Anyway, this was sporadically just thought up, I just woke up, so post some comments to the fact that you'd like to play this round of spacedog's trading post, & I will have the details all ironed out shortly...

I am throwing up a page together with all the info, so this way it is all documented. I'd hate to spill out an idea then see someone else take all the credit. Who know's, maybe it's being done, but I havent seen it, & if it is being done, I am sure someone will tell me after I spill my guts...

The idea is similar to content syndication, but also something like a hardlink exchange too.

It is being done in the hopes that it will get your content and/or sponsor ref link on more pages, as well as a link to your blog.

Let it be known that it all started here first, by spacedog.

Here is how it works:

I put a blog post of yours on my blog.
Your post will be of something that is not being promoted on the front page of my blog. Your post will contain content & links to sponsor & gallery, as well as link to your blog.
Then you put my post on your blog. Pretty simple.
We will be trading blog posts.

I trade blog posts now and then, hit me up, make you a posting user and let you at it! Anyone else please feel free if you want posting access for you're links and content, no bullshit but you're codes are welcome, I'm over 5K per day of good traffic. I just want to keep it busy, videos and photos try to hotlink off your own server though :)

Sounds good to me. I have been doing this on my mainstream blogs for a while.

Good idea.
BUT: what about google's duplicate content filter?
If i trade blog posts with 5 people google will kick x people their asses. Cause 5 blogs now have the same log entry.
Or am i missing something?

there are definate advantages to doing that but only if you do it right and can manage to keep people involved instead of the usual "i forgot about it" shit

OK, how about just an excerpt of the post with minimal images linked directly to sponsors join page with traders ref code then link to traders blog entry & main page?

OMG, I am so sorry. I saw your replies to my threads regarding wanting hardlink trades & I never checked the link because I thought it was a toplist. I feel so bad, but anyway, I did add your link to 3 blogs. The url was what stopped me, because I thought it was a toplist.
