should i be a Stock Broker or a Porn Peddler?
 

sup. im like 15 credits away from getting a associates degree
im 23, and i took 2 years off from school to daytrade.....
that did not go as well as i had intended, so then i went back to school for a couple of semesters
got a 3.3 my first semester back....
then failed all 4 of my classes my 2nd semester, because i was too busy making pornsites
now, i dunno what the fuck to do
should i go back to school and get a degree? i wanan be a stock broker
i really wanan go back sometimes, and sometimes thinking about school makes me sick.....i dunno whats up with me

should i be a stockbroker, or a porn peddler? ive been doing the porn thing for 7 months now....making 2 grand a month profit right now.....not a ton, but working on some things that will hopefully increase my income alot in the next month or so
my short term goal is 8 grand a month , and i intend on achieving that in about 8-12 months from now

will i always regret not going back to school though? that is what i wonder alot.....my problom is i never like to study....my GPA right now is 2.2!

well, ive thought about kindergarden, but was told by a friend that there are better looking chicks in college, so thats why i went there 8)

but yeah, i know being a stock broker is not easy, but ive been trading/investing since i was 18, so ive learned alot. i love the stocks in general.......but dunno what to do really....

Get the degree. Even if you don't think you'll put it to use now, get it. 20 years down the road you may regret not having finished now.

Of course you don't need a degree to peddle smut. But, let's say you give porn up for some reason. What then? McDonalds?

Go part time if you have to, one class a semester or something. Just don't make the mistake of "taking a year off" because you'll probably never go back.

BTW - understanding invseting has VERY LITTLE to do with being a successful stock broker. LOL --- green ear syndrome

save about $10k in porn, develop a trading system that works, then get back into it. if you can spend the time working out a system, and get it right, you Will make $
i hate it when other people badmouth daytrading, (somehow i can feel the posts coming) its the trader that looses the $, not the "evil rollercoaster" market

I don't know about the money side of it but I would say being a porn peddler is the more honorable of the two.

iyou guys wanan hear a funny/sad story? some may not believe this, but it is true

there was a stock called IFTP. it was a penny stock....back then, i wasent really into penny stocks, but i just loved the chart on this stock. and i bought it...alot of it...55,000 shares at 16 cents a share(around 10 grand)
well, 2 months later, it went up to $1.12 a share!
i had a 50 grand profit in like 2 months.....it was amazing..best feeling in the world..........
i ended up selling it at around 95 cents....made more then 40 grand, and then proceeded to lose all of it in the next 3 months.
this was when i was 19, so for a 19 year old, 40 grand is like being a milionare
oh well, live and learn i guess.....i still intend to get back in trading...i think i can make money.....you just gotta be disciplined...which is very hard sometimes

LOL - What exactly did you learn then? That the day trading houses are the ones that make all the money and that only a FEW limited day traderd really make any money and that is because the are EXCEPTIONALLY patient and disciplined and they are odds calculators like professional poker players.

dream on fella - I know the lure of sitting in front of your computer and doing a few trades and making thousands is tempting - but it is a FANTASY!! (unless of course you're a professional gambler blah blah)

Here is some advice - stick to porn and actually WORK it and you will be making the kind of money you want to be and you will be doing it from your own home like you would day trading.

its not hard to make money doing it. and yes it does help to have balls of steel. but its the walking away once youve reached your target price that gets most people

do both and more, your young and try doing alot of things now, less work later. also if porn doesn't work out you can alway try getting a job at a bank. I got lucky with some penny stocks too bought some battery technic stocks for under a buck sold it at around 9 dollars, but it went even higher. And now I'm not sure if that stock is doing well or even around. That how funny penny stocks are.:glugglug and my friend loss tons on a nice canadian company called northern telecom.:( but I told him just to leave it.

Yah, get your degree, even if you think you will be able to do porn until you're too old to type, the industy might not let you. Don't forget how much the industry has changed over the past few years.. as far as I know the trend is continuing..so my question is what happens in 10 years..20? 30?

FUCK THAT THERE ARE PLENTY OF PORN PEDDLER'S OUT THERE!!!! Be a stock broker and keep posting here to pick up clients!!! That what I would do if I were you and were almost done with School!!!! Some of us have a little spare change in our pockets.. And you could be "THE STOCK BROKER OF THE PORN WORLD!!!!!!"

Diversify your income whenever possible!

If you can swing doing both, then do both.
If you had to choose one over the other, go with that 'gut' feeling.

List the 'pros' and 'cons' of both and hopefully you'll make the right decision.

You'll have to consider the 'time value of money' as well to see which one is going to give you a higher return for the amount of time you spend doing the necessary work.
