lol, how the fuck could the death penalty be racist? i was on this other board and they're all talking about how the death penalty is racist because most of the people executed are black. i think that would be because black people are getting convicted of violent crimes more than white people. i just don't get how someone could say the death penalty is racist because a white man could go murder a family in a state with the death penalty and he will probably get it. wtf...

and what if a white man kills a black family ?

We have the same shit in Holland. Every day the newspapers write about Maroccon guys stealing, beating people up or in the worst case murdering someone. The Marrocon community's response to that is that its racist yadiya blah blah. I cant stop thinking to myself: Stop stealing, beating people up etc and you wont appear in the newspaper. Its really that simple.

Most Serial Killers are white. I believe most of Death Row is white guys. But that's not the point I want to make... Though I'm black. That means nothing. The BIG people judge by class... It's all about rich and poor... Not racist... So when a idiot throws racist slurs. It shows just how raisin sized his brain is...

I view them as serial killers, not freedom fighters or terrorist. just plain old everyday average serial kllers. that's what it would be here in the states.

Of course money is advantageous in our current criminal system. The more money you have, the better representation you can afford. Class probably mostly plays a role in so far as the rich are better able to defend themselves.

The biggest problem is that the system requires people to participate without prejudice and bias. People in the United States tend to have prejudices and biases that will influence their judgment. This is where the biggest problem originates in our system.

It shouldn't be a racist thing. It only happened that more black people are in the death row than white people.

I'm not going to get into it here though I have had some good arguments here on GFY with other thinkers such as myself...but I don't feel like I could get any of you ignoramus' to even consider it.

It all boils down to jury selection, access to lawyers, money for expert witnesses, shit like that.

So is the ddeath penalty racist? An argument could be made that it is....trust me....I took a semester long (48 classes) class RE: the death penalty and racism in the USA.

The death penalty isn't racist. Inner cities is where MOST crime occurs in the US. Most crime is also committed within the races ( black on black, white on white, mexican on mexican, etc)..only 12-14% of violent crimes are considered interracial. So when we execute MOST blacks it's because they killed other blacks. Same with whites, mexicans, asians ,etc...you politically correct people need to thinik before you speak.

I don't think that its a racist, but more of pro-rich. If you have no money to defend yourself you are more likely to receive the death penalty without a possibility of reprieve so most of those who get executed are poor
