I could eat these every day

King crab legs are so sweet and succulent . . . I could easily make this a staple of my daily diet.

who 12-05-2005 03:50 PM

Candybear 12-05-2005 03:51 PM

You haven't had crab until you've had Stone Crab.

I like sea food but I never really get to eat it. Growing up my sister was deathly allergic to shelfish and then when I got married I discovered my husband got sick at the mere suggestion of fish.

Though this may sound insanely silly. The best way I have found to cook them is the microwave. As it has been mentioned the legs are pre-cooked right after they are brought to dock. Boiling them kills them and steaming them often will make the tough since they just need a slight re-heat.

So I take them and wrap them in wet paper towels. About 6 legs at a time depending on size. Then I double wrap that with plastic wrap and put them in the microwave for about 2 minutes. This heats them perfectly without over cooking them.

Not a fan of seafood or crab.

shermo 12-05-2005 05:51 PM

I loveeeee seafood! I'd eat more shellfish, but the cholesterol is a killer.

Must be. Aside from alergies I have never seen any person have a medical issue from eating crab. (ok assuming that crab was not left out all day)

CDSmith 12-06-2005 12:06 AM

Anyone her ever have a crab ball? :D

Crab meat + cream cheese, mixed and shaped into a big half-ball, then "painted" with seafood sauce, served with crackers.

Makes a killer snack for a superbowl party, Christmas day, etc.

Btw, I've had nearly every variety of crab mentioned in this thread served every way suggested (even the crab cakes)... and love love love it all. I am a seafood-a-holic.
