I totally agree. All this telemarketing stuff is bullshit. I did the job for a very short while when money was more important than my soul (I might as well have become a prossie, would have been less degrading). What I learned tho, was that the people that succeed in the telemarketing business are short men with small penises and overinflated egos. While I support your intention to kill them, realise that their lives are shit anyway and your killing them would prolly be a blessing!

You seriously want to know what the worst thing you can do to a telemarkerter is? (And this comes from experience, heh).

Keep them on the line for a while. Ask them zillions of questions. Repeat questions. Go into details.

Then a half hour later, tell em no thanks, and hang up.

No matter where you are in the world, you will hear a loud, piercing scream as he/she slams the phone down and curses your family for generations for wasting their time which could have been spent on other callers.

couple weeks ago, I got one around 6pm... told him to tell me everything he possibly could about whatever the hell he was selling.... then I put the phone down and went out to dinner somewhere.... had me several beers.... came back about 3 hours later.... he was gone.

That's bad ass.

but i don't wait to be connected to the person any more... i hear the delay and hang up. My credit card company complains because it is hard to get ahold of me.

It's bullshit. If email spam is illegal - than telesolication should be too - and junk mail. Oh yeh, and while we're at it can we take the commercials off the programs i like to watch.

Yeh. That's true. but the same way we qualify our traffic (teen banners on teen free sites). They do too. Like that damn webhosting company that gets info from Internic and spams on their mailing list. Or after you set up a corporation (I did so with my cell number not thinking it was then a matter of public record) - I started getting calls all the time....

yeah.... I get it mostly from CC companies.... (probly got a few too many of those anyway)... I think they're selling my fuckin' number or something..... but we get tons of shit completely unrelated to anything I can think of..... so they're getting the number from somewhere....

He started talking but I said "wait, wait, wait, can you just wait a moment?", "yes..?" he said, so I put the phone down and went back to finish watching the movie. One hour later I came back and was ready talk with the guy, but he wasn't there anymore... I wonder for how long I blocked his line.... :1orglaugh

It's funny though because AT&T has called me up 3 times in the last month and they ask me what kind of long distance deal I currently have, I tell them about my current long distance carrier, how I pay 4.5 cents per minute. After I tell them that, they say "Oh, you have a great deal, stick with it, we can't compete with that" and hang up the phone, he he he.

oh man I thought I was the only one who does that. LMAO....I remember one time I did that to this female telemarketer and she called back. <i> I guess she thought she had a sale :) </i> ....thank gawd for the caller I.D.

I like to ask telemarketers what they're wearing and if they're touching themselves....

Some chick called me trying to convince me to buy a cell phone, while she was pitchin me, i was pitchin her to give me head. =) and it WORKED :pimp when i went to go chill with her i was very suprised that she was actually dope. =)

I used to make asome amazing bank in the telemarketing biz, then one day just developed a conscience and SPLOOSH, wetn from $1500-2000 a week to 400-500...

then wasn;t as bad as you'd usually get your leasd from people filling out those sweepstakes mailers...but now they just start with a prefix and dial 0001, 0002, etc. fucking autodialers....

I hate them, when the telemarketer can't hear the phon pick up and I have to scream "hello" 4 times....

and I hate hate hate these idiots who are obviously reading a script..I ran a couple phone rooms and did telesales training and would never put people on the phone to just read a damn script...

fuck, I'm a rollover sael, but fucking sell me, don't pitch me...I swear some of these braindead facks are the same ones with hun listings of 30 pics and link that says "click here for some porn so I can make rent this month"........ugh!

the secret I used to give only a select few...tell them to "disclaim you" use these words "Please disclaim me, I don't wish to purchase anything" especially with the giveways, premiums, etc...they have to "enter" you (in the state of Nevada anyways) without purchase...they usually give you a phone number to call to receive your premium ;)) (it's fucked up, we once had a disclaimed guy receive a cadiallac eldorado....fucker) damn state regulations ;)))
