It's just too damn hard! I was just at a tgp... belongs to someone I know... and 4 clicks to galleries took me to 4 other tgp's... one that had a virus zip on it that tried to download (even though I was using mozilla) and a couple others that had full screen popups to "spyware software" that I can only imagine is loaded with it's own spyware/adware.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs.

I think a lot of people have forgotten the key ingredient here.... the people.

"Traffic trades" have gotten so out of hand that most people would rather get 1000 "uniques" that they can send off to other sites, rather than 100 "people" that they can send off to paying sponsors.

Sure, you've got more people to your tgp with these "trades" but you're losing out a lot more... not only lost to other sites, but lost in respect. It's a small world and people will gladly avoid your site or any site with a similar name for fear of being attacked like this.

I can handle my pc pretty well, I know what to look for and I know how it all works... and even I can't put up with this crap anymore. It's just not worth clicking a link on any of these sites any more.

That's pretty sad. No wonder tgp gets such a bad rap these days.

It's also no wonder that some sites like SleazyDream and Shemp do so well. They don't forsake the people in the name of higher traffic numbers. They give the people what they want and don't mislead them.

I mean, do people really think that review sites and blogs and other sources really are doing that much better because people are taking the time to read? Or is it because people get what they want when they click on the links?

If I go to http://www.rabbitsreviews.com/Default.aspx and find a www.realitycash.com website... and click on the "visit site" link, I go to the site. I don't go off to some other review site with a popup and a downloadable virus.

Perhaps that could be a small reason for a better conversion ratio?

I rather run and trade with 10k sites that makes 10 times more money and with less bandwidth costs, than a 100k skim site.

You should put some paysite links on the main site. Most surfers do not sign up through galleries, but links that you recommend. I analyzed the stats for past 6 months and 80% of the signups came from the mainsites.
