Do gallery submitters make profit these days? lol

I looked into buying traffic on GTS and DAMN! its expensive.

For example: madthumbs.com is $1500 for a 30day guaranteed listing. I would need to make $50/day just to break even let alone a profit.

The submit passes are not even guaranteed listings and it?s over $700/mth to buy up all the current available passes.

Are gallery submitters actually turning a decent profit these days? I don?t mind investing into paid/partner accounts but not unless there is profit.

Test one month.. if you don't make profit, write it off as an expense. It's not *that* much. :)

Dirty F 12-05-2005 04:08 AM

There are only a few spots/passes worth the money and you'll get easily burned finding out which ones. The prices are indeed crazy. Hardly any room for experimenting. You really have to know what youre doing.

Ive heard so stories from people who lost a good chunk of money buying a 1500 or 2000 gallery deal at GTS. Then again there are also people who keep buying them. Its just like adwords i guess. Only a few manage to make profit with it.

But yeah in general i'd say the prices are simply fucking crazy!

Thats the thing.. I dont have time to waste.. The only way is buy them all up.. test them all and drop the ones that I don't make profit from.

Gallery submitters are definitely getting the shaft these days. Site owners and brokers are the ones making the money and if it keeps going the way it is site owners will be forced to use hosted gals. IMO not many HG out there that impress me.

Prices for gallery spots and submit passes will continue to rise. This is only the beginning of a new TGP era.

Nylz 12-05-2005 04:53 AM

There's no money in galleries

:winkwink:

Sad indeed. :(

bigdog 12-05-2005 05:24 AM

All the good spots have been sold out for a while, all that is left is the stuff no one wants

DutchTeenCash 12-05-2005 05:34 AM

theres money just dont go for 2k for a topspot, history teaches you barely break even, small partner niche accounts work and if Im lookin at 25+mpbs galleries used to submit, Im sure theres money :)

How can it rise more? People will stop buying.
It reached it limit already.

Not that it would have anything to do with wich submitter you use...

A year or two ago was much better!

there is money to be made. Me personally make more off my private partner accounts that I don't have to pay for then the ones I was paying for. I only pay for 1 partner account but that is on a network of sites that I have been paying for for over a year. Always make my money back on new sales and the rebills are good too.

There are people that make fantastic money buying advertising and there are people that simply do not. I wish every single person could make money buying advertising from us but unfortunately that's not realistic.

There are alot of people all fighting for the same piece of the pie, just like google adwords we price at what the market is willing to pay. It's simply supply and demand...

I make dick from submitting nowadays. I cant reason spending 1500 for 30 thumbs. If I owned the site and got 100% of sales that might be different.

I just dont buy passes. Got a few had shit results. I think the 3 month min on GTS is dumb. It is the leading reason i wont buy more passes.

We are trying to change this policy immediately, I don't like the 3 month minimum rule either.

:thumbsup Awsome. It just makes you feel uncomfortable paying for 3 months worth of submissions when you have never tried the site.

i don't really see how selling gallery spots is like adwords. sure, its advertising but a whole different method. people can outbid on the fly where as you set your prices and people have to pay or not have their galleries on a lot of major sites.

has plenty to do with what submitter tool i use, dreamsubmitter has functions that allow me to maximize my profits by using multiple link codes and templates in a single submission. This allows me to cater to a broad range of specifications in turn being listed in more places, and maximizing my payouts with different link codes.

Yes they set the prices and if a site isn't selling enough spots then obviously they need to lower the prices.
If a site is sold out and has a very long waiting list then it's time to raise the prices.

Same concept just doesn't happen as "fast" as with adwords
