How fast are international bank transfers (SWIFT)?
 

Anyone have experience with international transfers?

In theory... allow four days... in reality, a week - if you are lucky and the Bank of America staff don't mess up and lose it in someone else's account.

They "lost" one of our wires for about $40K for seven weeks once, - but keep smiling! :)

We've had some go in 2 days and some have taken over a week.
It has a lot to do with the receiving bank I think.

swift/bic related banks are quicker, some within 24 hrs but smaller banks up to a week yes

Get em all the time.

Usually 3 to 4 day delay.

Some banks here offer express transfers which will take just a few minutes abroad. But unless its urgent and/or big transfers, I will not recommend paying up to 5 times more than normal swift routing :)

I've received over 200 wire transfers from various countries around the world into various banks in countries around the world.

For me, international wire transfers are usually received within 24hrs of being sent, unless it's a weekend or holiday.

Any more than 3 business days, and you should be concerned.

I get Canadian within 24 hours usually and they are not even a real country. :)

i'm in the u.s. and get canadian transfers the same day, eu transfers in 2 days to a week - but (yes, we're with b of a) once it took 2 weeks.

They usually take up 1 to 2 days for me.

It can be done within 24 hours. It can be done within 2 weeks and if one opts for the less costly way, it can even take months.

it depends - US - eastern europe - 1 week

western europe - eastern europe 4-5 days

24 hours from holland to bank in canada or states.
you pay an addition 15 euro to speed it up.
