good ole U S of A joke
 

A Somali arrives in Minneapolis as a new immigrant to the United States.
He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and
says,"Thank you Mr. American for letting me in this country, and giving me housing, food stamps, free medical care and free education!" But the passer-by says "You are mistaken, I am Mexican".

The man goes on and encounters another passer-by. "Thank you for having
such a beautiful country here in America!" The person says "I no
American, I Vietnamese."

The new arrival walks further, and the next person he sees he stops,
shakes his hand and says "Thank you for the wonderful America!" That
person puts up his hand and says "I am from Middle East, I am not an
American!"

He finally sees a nice lady and asks suspiciously, "Are you an
American?"
She says, "No, I am from Russia!" So he is puzzled, and asks her, "Where
are all the Americans?" The Russian lady looks at her watch, shrugs, and
says... "Probably at work"

it's no wonder why the rest of the world (specifically, socialist countries whos inhabitants enjoy all those paid hollidays, have work weeks of < 40 hrs., etc.) don't like us very much - they can't stand the fact that WE ACTUALLY WORK and are more prosperous because of it. :2 cents: :2 cents:

You obviously dont live in california. Most new immigrants are just raping the free programs that the government has set up that most people in other countries wont imagine. Our country is going downhill due to our lack of work.

Who here wouldn't DIE for a 40 hour work week? Granted we aren't actually WORKING the entire time, but... I can guarantee allof us makign a living in this business spend AT LEAST 12 hours a day on-line or in very close proximity...

That makes it an 80+hour work week , I would guess 2/3-3/4 of that time is utilized dependant on who it is ..

i live in california - in fact, i was born here. i haven't observed this phenomenon at all - you ever go by the welfare or social security offices? they are full of lazy americans - or americans who have no kind of personal resources.

don't forget the EDD - i saw all kinds of americans there, too.

prejudice can make you see anything you want, but sometimes what you're seeing may not be the entire story.

This thread is sad . . . laughing at a stupid joke is one thing, but thinking it's "true" is another. Especially when you consider that most Mexicans have a stronger work ethic than most white americans, come up to our country and work their asses off in the fields, orchards, our yards, etc., and get paid shit to do it and treated like crap too. What I can't understand is why they vote Republican once they get their citizenship. :disgust
