Do you keep your 4 seasons tires on your car all year long?
 

Here in my neck of the wood, most of us don't use our 4-season tires all year long, come winter time or the first snow, we all change them for winter tires.

Do you keep them 4-season tire all year long?

nope.. not possible up here.. visit a tirecompany two times a year and watch a poor fucker change my tires while I have coffie and cake.. must be pretty shitty to have customers watch you work all day :/

we had them on our landrover and they were crap.

no good handling on dry street and in the winter no traction.

I don't think we have summer tires here, not sure tho! Most of us use 4-season tire in the summer and winter tires in the winter.

My Z rated tires dont even last an entire year, lol.

We can't keep 4 seasons tires in our winter conditions, here in Quebec. We need to buy winter tires, and god that's pretty pricy.. :warning

change "summer" to racing or racing with rain specs. :)

I hear ya. This morning I went to my mechanic and ask him for the cheapest winter tires in stock. I got a $650 bill for 4 tires plus labour :mad:

I had snows put on one of my cars, its some kind of exotic pirelli, they are like 500 each :disgust

thats not that bad is it? bought two new ones myself a couple of weeks ago and the cheapest they got was $179 a piece.. labour was $15 a tire.. but thats ok.. I watched him work :)

I use all season's but keep in mind I only drive like 2 miles a week. However I'm in the snowbelt (got 10 inches of snow last night in fact, with 4 to 10 more forecast by nightfall). Wish I had a garage, let me tell ya. My car is a mound of white most of the winter. The winter roads I drive on are usually just packed snow.

WTF. No way in hell I would pay that kind of money per tire. I'd rather take the bus and train instead of paying $2,176:winkwink:

Well here in the Midwest, I guess it makes some difference, but I keep them shits on all year because its way too expensive to hustle up for new tires!

I use all season tires all year round but I've always driven 4 wheel drive vehicles. So if it gets snowy or icy I just pop it into 4 wheel drive and I am fine.

I was expecting paying top $300 for them considering they are only 13" tires but I ended paying more than twice that amount. I should have shop around for a better deal.

no, in fact i don't even use all seasons to begin with.

in the summer i run Yokohama Advan P235/45WR17.

unfortunately, they have little to no traction in the snow, so i got myself a set of Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22's.

We only have 2 seasons here. Kind of dry, and really dry. So only one set for me.

All seasons seem to work for me..Not the best snow tire but they work for the little amount we get here

I just run all seasons. Just kick it into 4x4 when it gets messy.

Just put on some ContiWinterContact winter tires and 18" alloy wheels for the winter.. In the summer I preffer chrome wheels.. Its amazing how much of a difference winter wheels make especially on a big car with rear wheel drive and a v8.

I didn't know Wall Mart installed tires or had auto mechanics for that matters!

I have two sets of wheels for my beemer one with snows and one with summers, and cheap all seasons on my jeep (picked them up in the buy and sell for $150 with rims) another set of rims that I am putting mud tires on

On my G35 I have 18" Pilot Sports on there for the Spring/Summer

and 17" LM-22's Blizzak tires and a seperate set of rims for Fall/Winter.

2 sets better than 1 IMO

Pilot Sports are $280-$320 a pop with no rim, Blizzaks LM-22's are about the same with no rim. worth the money IMO.

Regular tires all year round. I'm not driving around in an F1 car, I don't have time to play with fucking wheels.
