Ok GFY, go look in your attics...

I need a record player. Nothing fabulous, just a no frills record player. Anything circa 70's/80's will do just fine as long as it works. Spare needles would be great. It's for a nostalgia gift thing I am putting together for my dad. Looking to spend like $30-$50 on it tops. Looked on ebay but all I found was like DJ shit. Any help?

Yeah, he's been working on mixing and scratching with his old Merle Haggard and Roy Clark albums. I'll look into it. :winkwink:

They sell a radio at Wal-Mart with a record player, CD player, and radio all in one. I'm not sure of the price, but it does have a record player on the top. It has a wooden look to it, not sure if it will be available at every Wal-Mart, but it is in the $30-$50 price range.

Good luck.

Was it high School High where John Lovitz gave the DJ a copy of Rhinestone Cowboy and he did that?

all i use is technics - have had multiple 1200s and i dont scratch.

technics is a superior vinyl player and i would trust nothing else.

and i collect Otis Redding albums, not rap.

They are but most are a bit out of the price range I am willing to spend on my old man. I like him like $40 worth. I don't like him $100. :upsidedow
