Is it possible to call someone from someone elses phone number?
 

Is it possible to call someone using the phone number of someone else?

Because I just got a call from someone originating from a very odd source, so I just want to know if this is possible.

I was talking to him on the phone (usually calls me from his original cellnumber), and it cut on us a few times... so I am guessing it was some internet software or something

there are a few places where you can make a phone call and make anything come up on caller id :)

U can do it online at some website.

If you want to do it at home it requires you to have VOIP from a particular subscriber, and l33t skills.

nope when i used the service when it was around it was perfect just like a normal call what they do is they call you first then they call the person that you want to call its kind of like a 3way call that's how they can fake the caller id.

yah covertcall was nice .. cheap , you could call someone from your local sherrif's office or even banned numbers like 911..

funny prank is to call from the presidents private line with a pre-recorded message and say something obscene so they call back * seeing the caller id , and shout insults at the presidents secretary..
