IMPORTANT ? Please read immediately!

March 25, 2002

Dear Webmaster:

Attached is a copy of a letter we received from Visa stating that they will
no longer accept Visa cards as payment for beastiality sites. Please note
that their decision is effective immediately. Although we regret having to,
CCBill must, as a result of Visa?s decision and other potential legal
problems associated with processing billing for beastiality sites, cancel
our agreement to provide service to you. We will continue to accept new
member sign-ups until 2:00 PM Mountain time on Thursday, March 28, 2002.

Even though your site will still be accessible to existing members until
their subscriptions expire, because there is a potential for an unusually
large amount of chargebacks and/or refunds, CCBill is holding all funds due
you for a minimum of 6 months. Once we are satisfied that there is no
further chargeback activity, we will send you the remaining balance.

While we have tried to find another way for you to continue processing, we
have been unable to do so. I appreciate your business in the past, and again
regret having to take this action. Please contact Frank Cadwell at (480)
449-7760 between the hours of 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM Mountain time if you have
any questions.

Very truly yours,

Ron

Nothing wrong with giving rights back to the animals.
The animal Union has power, these billing companies better recognize.

They dont want it associated with the Visa brand name.

They are NOT going to stop at beast.

Crazy shit. Bend over and get ready for the ass reaming.

NetRodent 03-26-2002 02:22 PM

Ok, if Visa won't let you process for a site that shows women with animals, will they still let you process for a site that shows naked women with big thick juicy steaks?

Or will we have to change all of our Beef-n-Babes sites over to
SoyBean-Sluts?

Like I don't already? ;)

It's standard procedure when someone is terminated to hold funds for 180 days. If we were terminating an account for fraud or spam, etc. it would be the same thing.

Since there will be no more billing past Thursday, the sites will effectively have their doors closed to all new joins and rebills. As the month goes along, fewer people will rebill each day until after 30 days, there will be no more active members left in our databases for their sites.

Members do have access until the day they should have rebilled but that doesn't stop them from getting pissed that there is no more site and deciding to charge back a few months memberships.

On a last note, we did indeed attempt to find someone out of the states willing to take the rebills and pay the site owners AND resellers per the CCBill setup. Unfortunately for our clients, it just didn't happen.

Lev 03-26-2002 02:35 PM

Visa bans bestality. Does this mean slaugther house for all those cows and pigs :(

No Jamie, it means we won't be processing transactions for any beastie, fake beastie, or even amateurs with a cat in their house during their cam show, after Thursday afternoon.

do some of these fucking butt ugly amateurs count as bestiality?

there are some that well...run rover run!!!!

what will these poor bestiality models do now that they are out of work? They should have unionized when they had the chance.....

crack 03-27-2002 08:44 AM

Kimmykim, not stepping on your toes. I understand ccbill want to complain with visa. FINE, just cut off visa processing from sites prohibited by them, keep other cc?s and checks. It was done with Amex awhile ago. Unless ccbill officially announces that it does not support transactions for certain content you can?t just shut down all processing.

I understand that no court will even look at complains from bestie webmaster, but I see lack of flexibility in your business thinking.

No morals involved, just business.

[Labret] 03-27-2002 10:44 AM

I bet iBill is going to do the same thing.

2 days before checks and wires are to be cut and sent, accounts will be froze and nobody gets jack.

Kimmykim 03-27-2002 01:20 PM

crack,
I don't take it as stepping on my toes. We can and do reserve the right in our TOS to change things as needed, so there's no real issue of anyone having a case of anything in a court of law. We are aware that if our clients don't make sales we don't make money.

Grimmy you are bad ;)

Kimmykim 03-27-2002 01:23 PM

So are you Labret, now that I think about it ;)

Donnie Gangsta 03-28-2002 05:35 PM

The posted letter is from VISA Usa.. What about international processors? Has anyone inquired into this with Visa?

Kimmykim 03-28-2002 05:49 PM

I answered this in your thread.

Brujah 03-28-2002 05:59 PM

You know.. they really shouldn't be processing for beastiality, lil amber type sites, and cp sites anyway. Its illegal. People go to jail for it.

I'm stunned VISA is the one that had to make this happen. Its even a little scary that no one would do anything about it, so now VISA feels it needed to. Who knows what VISA will decide for us next. WTG, Thanks. :thumbsup

Ted 03-28-2002 06:11 PM

Write or wrong about beastiality what makes Visa the morals police ?

If someone went and bought an Uzi and a case of amunition on my visa and then went postal would visa stop proccessing for gun shops ?

If someone bought candy on visa and lured a kid into a car would they stop processing for candy

Drunk Drivers cause deaths almost everyday and you can still buy beer on visa?

Visa are just a bunch of self rightous arrogant mother fuckers imho

My condolances to those running such sites...but good riddance.
It only hurts the majority of "traditional" adult operators.

Anyone who thinks that bestiality can in any way be a business
venture needs rehabilitation.

Legally. In Holland. Where it is legal.

Why that would have any effect on your business I do not know.

It's bEstiality, and regardless of your law degree, you obviously don't know the law in all 50 US states.

As to Visa, you probably should be aware that to the average Joe, like a guy who works at Visa, they don't care what you are doing, it's all porn.

Strike a nerve ? I know its not exactly illegal by the books in 24 or 26 states. The fact remains. People go to jail for it in the US, whether they spell it bestiality or beastiality.

And they know that the processors don't care what they process for, so they feel the need to do it themselves. Bravo! Way to go. Lets get the "average Joe" that doesn't care and thinks "it's all porn." and wants to stop processing for it.

Maybe the processors could have done something about it before it got to this point.

I'm not trying to take a moral highground on the issue. I just think I'd rather see the industry try and clean up its own mess, so the wrong people don't do it for us.

News flash, the "wrong people" want ALL porn off the internet. They do not pick and choose.

Kimmykim 03-28-2002 09:25 PM

You know something Brujah? The people in this industry can't do anything together.

99% of them are stealing from 99% of the rest, the ones that aren't are too busy cheating on their wives and lying to their associates and friends about what they *REALLY* do in their businesses, that it's one big clusterfuck.

You can talk all you want to about how it's a little tiny percentage, how only the processors etc are wrong, but you know what? You are wrong. The people that cry the loudest are usually the ones either not making any money or doing something just as shady but trying to keep it from being noticed.

Strike a nerve with me? No. I don't care a whit about bestiality, whether it stays or goes. The only thing that bothers me is that Visa is deciding to become the dictator of incomes. You think it will stop at bestiality? Better make sure you don't rely on any revenue from your fetish sites, since I'd be willing to bet that sooner or later they are going to be imcompatible with Visa's image.

I'm not blaming the processors exclusively, but you must admit that they're a huge part of it. They're the ones that enable them to run the sites, and make it so profitable and attractive.

I don't think it will stop at bestiality. I AM concerned now, thats its gone too far. As I said earlier, I'm NOT trying to take a moral highground and cast blame. However, its obvious that some services in the industry are more responsible for it than others.

So now that we've already gone this far, we can only wonder whats next. How far will this go? What alternatives will there be left if VISA pulls out from more fetishes? Dialers, tokens, paypal, checking account debit?

4Pics 03-28-2002 10:28 PM

Does this mean CCBill wont process for those hairy women sites where they are basically animals?

Kimmykim 03-28-2002 10:30 PM

Hey, even I, working for a cc processor, has been telling people for months to start putting their eggs in different baskets.

If you have one cc processor, make sure you have a backup. If you don't take checks, now's the time to start. If you aren't using dialers or web900 or Paypal, then maybe it wouldn't hurt to look into getting setup. Sort your traffic out based on the best way for them to pay you and it stick, and go that route.

We're going to start accepting both a Euro and an Asian debit/charge payment very shortly. We're also going to have to change the way we scrub Mastercard -- eliminate more countries-- as well, since MC is putting the smackdown on cb's...

It's not just the processors who should be looking for ways to spread the payments in, it's everyone who owns a web site if you ask me.

I don't particularly see that its beastie or the word lolita that set Visa off -- my guess is someone there got a case of the Amex -- not enough money for the chargebacks for those sites. Visa's been making third party report chargebacks *by url* for a few months now, they can take a close look at what's good and what's not.

I'd expect that celebs, certain fetishes, and certain companies will be the next ones on the hit list.
