How often do you go to the Dentist?

That's the question of the hour. How often do you go to the Dentist?

I go regularly, twice per year.

Nothing is better than a nice cleaning, but usually they don't have to do a whole lot of cleaning when I go. I keep it clean so the scraping is almost nothing at all.

Tania 12-01-2005 02:36 PM

I also go twice per year...

Maxy 12-01-2005 02:38 PM

Twice a year as well.

Corleone 12-01-2005 02:50 PM

1-2x / year :)

EroticySteve 12-01-2005 02:50 PM

Growing up we went at least twice a year. I had a few cavities back then.

I didn't go for almost 12 years cause I didn't want to pay for it. It took a long time to get all cleaned up on that visit. I was scared as hell to go cause I was in pain. I thought i would lose every tooth. It turned out that all was good and the pain was just from needing a good cleaning. No cavities and no problems

Baker Rd 12-01-2005 02:59 PM

when the pain is unbearable..

Anthony 12-01-2005 02:59 PM

Just had right wisdom teeth top and bottom taken out yesterday.

Feels like I've been punched in the face repeatedly.

Jennyfer 12-01-2005 03:14 PM

you sound like me.. I never went before becuase I didnt have insurance and refused to pay their outrageous prices.. Just this year I had a sinus infection that was so bad it made all my teeth hyper sensitive and I was crying because I thought when I went into the dentist they were going to start yanking all my teeth out..they are so white, pretty and straight..and I wanted to be able to eat meat. Glad they discovered no cavaties and the sinus infection..penecillin cured it up and my face quit hurting...I could eat again.

Tera 12-01-2005 03:20 PM

I go twice a year, I wouldn't if I didn't have a dentist that called and harrassed me often.

It is easy though, I have never had a cavity

That is exactly what motivated me to go. I had a nasty sinus infection and I was in miserable pain. I thought they were going to pull each tooth. I waited until the sinus infection was gone to go, and even then I was still in tons of pain.

The dentist used to be my greatest fear.

Lucky. They just found one in a wisdom tooth in the back, a minor one but i figure it's a good idea to get it taken care or anyway.

Yeah don't put it off.

The quality of life that you have has a direct relationship to the health of your teeth. If your teeth and gums are in good shape you'll get sick less.

Sosa 12-01-2005 03:34 PM

try to go twice a year. sometimes only make it once though.

the Shemp 12-01-2005 03:36 PM

Spunky 12-01-2005 08:16 PM

Twice a year..like clock work..You only have one set of teeth

Marshal 12-01-2005 08:17 PM

twice a year, too...

Hey You . . . I Know You! 12-01-2005 08:22 PM

I wait until a tooth hurts really bad. Then I go and have it pulled. I don't know why anyone would go unless it was for a good reason (like a tooth pulling). Once I got lucky and broke a rotting tooth right out and I didn't have to pay for the removal. Not only did it help me avoid a dental visit, but I also saved the cost of a tooth extraction.

tristan_D 12-01-2005 11:42 PM

I schedule it on my birthday together with other check ups.

PixeLs 12-02-2005 03:40 AM

Every six months. Though I've been there twice last month because of my aching molar..

That's a good dental plan. It seems to be very common here in Florida.

If stem cell research were progressing right, tooth replacement wouldn't be a problem, if you lost one you could get a new one. One of your own.

Sounnds dumb.. but I have NEVER been to the dentist... I'm 24 years old and still haven't fucking been ever. My teeth are not wonderful, but they are normal, and don't hurt or look wierd or anything. Put it down to having a strict father who forced me to brush my teeth when I was a kid. "it was cheaper than needing a dentist"..

ajrocks 12-02-2005 08:42 AM

If you want to keep your choppers for ever go every 3 months like me!

MandyBlake 12-02-2005 09:53 AM

I brush and floss religiously. I still got a cavity. It happens sometimes.

They use a laser to check enamel depth.

if it gets to the point of hurting you are in trouble.

tornell 12-02-2005 04:27 PM

once a year
