This has been happening a lot lately. I think 3rd time in the past few weeks to month. Not just mobbucks, seems like a NATS problem specifically.

fuzebox 12-01-2005 11:44 AM

This happens to every NATS sponsor when they first start, everyone just gets a new server from a managed server company who leaves the mysql max_connections at the default (100 I think).

Need to fix this shit...people are wasting traffic.

..no one?

I have passed along this info to the guys at Mobbucks- hopefully they will be soon on it and fixing the problem.

It's a server issue, not a NATS issue. They simply need to up the # of connections mysql is configured for as fuzebox mentioned. The mysql default is very low for some reason. It's a server admin issue, not a NATS issue (getting ICQs from people telling me they're having a NATS issue) just to clarify.

Mike, if you need any help let us know. Just give the office a ring. I'm still at home in pain from the wisdom teeth but everyone else is in.

Thanks John .. It's on the server side and i spoke to a few guys that have had the same problem and even with the max connections set it seems to happen every few day over the last few weeks .. Hosting company said it was taken care of but looks like it wasn't .. I'll be keeping a close eye and we have a permanent fix going into place ...

Feel better ..and i hope they gave you some pain killers :)
